Excellent quality overall for sixty dollars

The issues that I have with this knife are down to my own standards for the way a knife should be for this price. The lock strength is excellent and should stand to a lot of abuse, but there is very slight blade play. The blade centering when closed is also a point of contention. However the quality is still there for the price. For the money these two issues are not enough to stop read more me from buying another one of these. The pics on this site do not do the presentation of this blade justice when in hand, it is very pretty. The edge also needs some work to make razor sharp as it does have a working edge but Artisan did the blade well enough for my purposes. The finish on the materials and construction are top notch and I have no complaints, the points that I made are critical but they are really only me being a perfectionist, quality at this pricepoint was achieved by the maker, I would recommend this as a gift or EDC for someone who likes this style.

A beautiful knife that feels great in the hand

What can I say, I love Artisan Cutlery. When looking for a new knife, they're always in the running as I love their design language and the few Artisans I have are all stellar knives. With that said, the AC Classic is no exception.

I love the design of this knife as it's got a nice classic look and is really nicely put together. With nice ergonomics and textured G10 scales, read more this knife feels great in the hand. It gives you confidence that it won't slip from your hands while in use. That confidence is good too, because the blade is super sharp!

The action on this knife is extremely smooth and it feels like it's gliding when you're engaging the blade. As a bonus, it's extremely "drop shutty," so it's great for anyone that loves to fidget with their knife.

Surprisingly lightweight for being a larger knife and slim enough that you really don't feel it in your pocket when carrying. This is often one of my EDCs and I'm sure it's going to stay in the rotation for some time. Artisan really did a stellar job with this knife.

Great knife!

This is my first Artisan Cutlery knife and by the quality of this knife I hope that it won't be my last. It's a heafty knife which I like. The blade centering is perfect and it was razor sharp upon delivery.

Pretty darn great for the money

So I really love the quality and details of this knife. This is my second Artisan knife, and like the first, this knife is excellent (especially for the money). Very sharp from the factory. I already like D2 steel, and this is pretty thick stock on this blade. The opening and closing actions are smooth and precise. I like very much that it seems to be inspired by the classic Italian read more stilettos. This is a large folder/flipper, and is not as light as some other knives that I own. I also wouldn't choose this knife for any chore that would take extended length of time to accomplish, because I could foresee this knife having hot-spots. I think of this as an EDC knife, that would also look intimidating if pulled out in the need of self-defense.
Really like the texturing and colors of the b&w g10 scales. Looks classic yet different at the same time. The skeletonization/machining on the inside liner is very well done. This is all my opinion, and taste in knives is subjective. But the manufacturing is high quality, regardless. ---Top flipping' notch! Artisan is quickly becoming one of my favorite manufacturers of knives.
