Modern Performance & Classic Vibe

This is one of my favorite knives. Appropriately, it has a slight amount of heft and a great blade. I like the vintage vibe of the handle. I love this knife.

Great new EDC

I have other Benchmade knifes so I knew this was going to fit my EDC collection. The knife is the perfect size and design. The blade is very sharp and deploys very smooth. I have been using it daily and I haven't had any issues with it. It is now in my daily rotation. My father saw it and he liked the classic look, I purchased another one for him. I would recommend this knife as read more a EDC.

Modern Design... Classic Look...

Benchmade answered the call for many of us "old school" folks that appreciate a modern EDC. I still love my Kershaw Dividend for "at work" tasks, but the Mini Crooked River will be my "go to" for outdoor chores. Fit and finish is top-notch. The weight and size... perfect. Very sharp OOB. A really substantial feel to it overall. A real stunner!

Very nice knife

I really like the size, shape and finish of this knife for EDC. Also a fantastic looking knife with one exception. I don't really like the appearance of the backspacer. I will be replacing it with a different color.

This is such a great knife! It can complete so many important tasks for me, I always carry especially when going hiking, camping and mountain biking. Its great for food prep. I love the wood scales and the bolster, they add a touch of class while still maintaining the hunting/outdoors man look. The fit and finish is great and the Benchmade Axis lock is so amazing, very quick to read more open and close. The S30V blade holds an edge really well. Overall amazing knife I recommend it.

For reference: I was carrying a SOG Vulcan (tanto) but it was a bit of a pocket potato. I switched up to a CRKT Heiho, also an excellent knife, but that one always felt a little small for me.

The Mini Crooked River is the perfect Goldilocks middle-ground and my new permanent EDC. It's a shame they call it a "mini" because I think that will turn some people off. It's absolutely read more a full-sized pocket knife. I'm picky about my folder and I prefer to have one that can do every common task, including self defense, quickly and easily. This thing is lightning fast and after playing with it for a week or so it falls shut effortlessly. It's the best knife I own, fixed or folder. I recommend picking up a deep carry clip.

Fit and finish was topnotch, rock solid lockup, blade pertly centered, deploys smoothly, axis lock works smoothly-a very nice knife.I see comments occasionally on benchmades quality control-this is my second benchmade from blade hq in two months,(the other was a full size griptillian),both knifes have absolutly no issues. When it comes to high end, bladehq is my prefered source

Just a cool knife that works very well.

I bought this mainly to take fishing and can't stop carrying it. It's so sleek it disappears in your pocket. I love the wood handle with the orange spacer/pivot. Headed back up to the mountains soon and looking forward to using it!

I love this knife. The only thing i had to do to make it perfect was contact benchmade for a deep carry clip and they shipped it for free. I purchased it feeling slightly nervous about the price tag, but it came through. Very sharp, looks amazing, feels good in the hand, and has a great cutting edge. I love how stylish it is but also super functional.

Almost perfect

What's up with the orange and that da-gum clip? Put the Benchmade clip on there, replace the orange with a champagne color and you'll have an instant classic. Otherwise the knife is what you'd expect from Benchmade.

Perfection. This is my all-time favorite knife. I’ve used it this hunting season on deer and small game and it has worked wonderfully. It has become my go to edc as well. Fit, finish, materials, action are all great. Love it. If I lost it I’d buy a new one the next day.

Have other Benchmades so I'm pretty sure I'll love my new CUSTOM Mini Crooked River! Here:...... Sorry. Can't seem to copy image. But, it's a mini Crooked River with beige scales, silver bolsters, black clip, and a satin S30V blade with a red spacer.

Benchmade did a awesome job this year on the mini line up. It's a beast in a not so small package. The S30v is the best blade steel in my opinion holds it edge well the action on this knife is amazing. Loving it !!!!

What's not to like?

Aside from the fact that it's a great knife with a awesome blade shape and great steel, I find myself just looking at this knife a lot. I love the combination of materials Benchmade chose here. It's a pocket knife you should be able to carry for many years, and it looks the part. I have to mention that my blade came a hair off center, and there are a couple very nit-picky edges read more where I might sand a tiny bit more for perfect fit and finish, but I'm really digging deep to find that criticism.

Although this could be a great knife for EDC, I generally carry smaller knives unless I know I will have some use for the larger blade. I use this one for projects around the house, camping, food prep, etc.

Great size for an EDC

Never handled the full size but this was a very clean, sharp and smooth knife right out of the box. A little off center but a couple weeks carrying and a little adjusting fixed that problem. Only issue for me is that the handle isn't a bit wider for handling. Someone with large hands may have a little troubling handling this knife very well.

A Clear win for Benchmade

This knife is awesome. In my opinion this should have been the first version of the crooked river. It is the perfect size for EDC. Also just by the appearance it adds a touch of class. Mine came centered and rock soild lockup. The only thing I did was change the clip to deep carry.
