Its Fine..?

I got this knife 2 months ago and has been getting looser everyday and about 3 weeks back one of the pins broke on me. I tried fixing it by replacing the broken pin with a nail and its kinda a short term fix. I recommend getting a more premium blade if you are looking into balisong, however if you really are on a money crunch, this can make due.

I bought this knife broken, one of the pins for the handles was broken so the handle was separate from the knife, but i shoved some paperclips in the hole where the pin is supposed to be, and it works great, some play in the handles though

Good until it wasn't

It was sooo tight at first ;) then I got it all lubed up ;) and stretched it a bit ;) and it was smooth and satisfying ;). Anywho, I was showing it off to some people and the rivet friggin broke. I looked actually everywhere for a replacement and lo and behold the manufacturer was overseas and didn't respond to my email and Dave (may or may not be his name but he exists I swear) read more at Ace Hardware said I wouldn't find a double rivet like this in the U.S.

Awful

Waste of money. Less than average flipper. Blade steel is cheap. Handle steel even cheaper. In fact the latch gate at the end of the bite handle bent closed after just a few drops so I couldnt latch it up without unbending it. Still better than bear and sons I guess. Save up for an atropos knife or something.

i'm not new to butterfly knives, but i haven't had one for several years. so i was really excited when i found this knife. its reasonably priced, heavy, and moves really well. however, i don't recommend this knife to someone that has even a little experience or is a quick learner because this knife broke insanely quick (about 2 months). i didn't misuse this knife it just isn't made read more for someone that isn't a complete beginner. also, i know that a $30 knife is still cheap but i expected it to last longer than 2 months.

A Good knife to start out with

The knife came in on time. It came with a razor sharp blade, no scratches, and was very sturdy. Definitely a great blade to start out with.

This is my first real balisong, which is why I bet most of us are gonna get a knife at this price.

Silly title aside, this is pretty heavy. As I said, this is my first real balisong, but I had a couple "bali-combs" before hand. Along with the weight, the tang pins came pretty tight at first, but after some light oiling and using it to get the pins loosened up, it now flips read more very smoothly.

The last gripe I have with this is that the latch can get in the way sometimes. It's able to come inside and hit the blade when you're closing it, but I managed to wrap one of those bread bag ties through the oval shaped hole and stuff the excess under the latch, and it more or less keeps it out of the way now.

Aside from all that, it is very nice. Made in the USA, so it's something I'm proud to support and get behind, not to mention the heavier weight is gonna make it easier to flip lighter ones, or at least it does for me. I plan on mostly doing rollovers as my style of flipping as opposed to ariels, which the weight does help with. However, due to the weight, it'll get you real good if you catch it wrong.

This leads into the next point in that it comes very sharp out of the box. I was able to breeze through the paper test many times, even through multiple sheets of paper. It can also knick you pretty good before you even notice, but I've only got hit a couple times by now.

If you're just starting out, I'd maybe try and find something a little lighter, but this guy is still going to be very good to you :)

Good for the price

I just recently got the knife and I am enjoying it very much. It comes razorsharp out of the box, little stiff at first but a few minutes with flipping and some wd-40 will do the trick.

This knife was an amazing knife but I then sold it and I'm very sad I did because I loved this knife but I'm going to buy it again.

P.S. I made a profit of $30 extra
