$13 Novelty
Tacked this onto my real purchase of a few other items. I expected a cheap novelty and got exactly what I paid for. The paratrooper knife is an intriguing opening mechanism, but beyond that it is not a practical knife. There is little to no edge and needs serious sharpening to be of any use as a knife. As a folding spike I'm sure it would be quite useful.

Cool but cheap
i got what i expected and paid for. the knife was $13 dollars. only real complaint is that the screws loosed almost all the way after opening and closing it less than 10 times . i put a little lock tight on them and its fine . cool fun knife for $13. also its more of a spike than a knife which is kinda cool but not much of a edge on it. im satisfied with what i got
Beautiful Garbage
Not sharp enough to even open letters, but it's still totally neato. Pure form over (no) function.
A gem
This thing is an absolute gem of a piece of crap. It supposedly has a dagger blade but the backside is not sharpened. The front side of the blade is barely sharpened actually. The opening device is unique and fun to show people but difficult to deploy in a pinch and forget about doing it one handed. The actual scales or whatever they are are pretty shifty. One of mine has a pretty… read more big warp in it. On top of all of this the blade stock is like a rail road spike. Hilariously bad knife but worth the novelty and just to say you have one. It's $13 what else are you gonna do besides but this wonderful piece of metal.
Purchased solely for collection
So I can't be too hard on this knife as it did only cost about $13.00. But out of the box, the blade was dull and the point of the blade was bent. I really only purchased the knife because it was different and made a nice addition to the collection, but I would have liked to see it be sharper.
That said, the action is really unique and I can always sharpen the blade and mend…

the tip.
Just a warning that the knife isn't the highest quality and I would suggest keeping it as just a fun collectable instead of an actual tool.
