One of my favorite knives to carry

I do love the feel of this one in my hand. I swear the handle was made for me. The blade is very robust and deploys swift and sweet. Fit and look is dead on making this one well worth the price. I have spent three times this much on other knives that do not meet the quality of this one.

When this knife appeared, I snapped it up immediately. And I wasn't the only one. The entire inventory sold in a few days.

While the name "Fanga" may imply a more tactical application, this is a big, solid, well-made knife suitable for hard work. The D-2 tool steel blade contributes substantially to this purpose. The handle shape allows for an excellent, ergonomic grip that read more has no hot spots for me. I have smaller hands, and the handle design works well--a good sign for its flexibility for those with larger hands. The jimping is properly executed--on the top of the blade, well-placed for one's thumb, and on the flipper.

Moving to the details--
There are many quality touches to this offering. First, the liner lock is slightly early, meaning that it will likely wear in for years of solid operation. Second, the lock bar has a nice bevel on the inside edge to make it easier on your thumb when you close the blade--no sharp edge to irritate or possibly cut. Third, the inside edges of the entire liner are nicely chamfered on both the spine as well as the liner lock side--a nice touch. Fourth, the blue machined titanium pocket clip and the pivot collar add a nice accent to the well-done carbon fiber/G10 scales, also in a nice blue tone. The knife comes in a padded, zippered pouch, complete with polishing cloth--similar to offerings at double the cost.

The blade itself is well-executed, perfectly centered, with a precise bevel along the full length to a symmetrical point. The factory edge was shaving sharp, although it would be possible to hone an even keener edge with a tool like a Wicked Edge--unnecessary for now--and the D2 tool steel blade will likely hold its edge for a long time.

The flipper worked perfectly right out of the box. The ball bearing pivot operates extremely smoothly.

This knife is an outstanding value, ready for the hunt, the job site, the hiking trail, or for other serious applications.
