A beautiful, well priced pocket knife.

I just got mine in the mail today and I've fallen in love with it already. The knife is a comfortable weight and a great size. My hands are small but that's not been an issue, I adjusted to it quickly. My only complaint, and it's not really a complaint since it's my fault, but I'm left handed and didn't think to read the description carefully when I ordered it. I kind of wish it read more was in the description but again, it's my fault. This knife is smart looking, sharp and amazing for the price. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a (beginner) knife!

Love this knife. Carry it a lot and find it a very useful tool. It is really high quality and the fit and finish is excellent. Bestec has it figured out as to how to manufacture a quality product.

Good Knife for the price

My first Bestech. I like the look and feel of the knife, ergos fit my hand well. My only gripe was it didnt seem to come that sharp. I used to to cut open some snack packages and seemed a bit dull. I will sharpen on my KME, not a huge issue. Seems almost as if the blade edge is burnt.

Great knife at this price point!

I've carried the Swordfish every day for about 2 months and I thank is a solid knife for 52.00. It is a longer pocket knife but it isn't bulky. It rides in the corner of my pocket and it doesn't take up to much real estate. I can put my hand in my pocket while carrying the knife no problem. I really like the blade shape and I find it useful. I like the Orange and Black and I get read more compliments on it often. The knife arrived very sharp and holds it's edge well. I maintain the edge with a ceramic sharping rod and it cuts paper like a razer. I've read some reviews where people have a problem with the flipper shape, you just have to fidget with it a bit and it will become second nature.
I would absolutely buy this knife again if I lost it or it got stolen.

Pocket clip not as shown

Love the knife but the pocket clip is not as shown. The knife I received has a deep carry type clip. Not what I was looking for.

Nice Gentleman's knife

Ok, this review is limited to aesthetics, fit and finish, (knife was delivered at 2pm). Very high quality as far as fit and finish. Overall look is classy. All edges are smooth and blade is centered and look up is tight. Action is smooth, opens easily and with a solid click I look forward to adding this into my EDC rotation and believe this is an excellent purchase, at least I'm read more pleased. Knives made in China have come a long way. At one time I would have stayed away from them, now not so much. Pls note, I do not abuse my knives so I've never tried to damage or break them on purpose. That said, no folder is as strong as a fixed blade knife, but both will cut fine. This is a good looking knife that is very well made.

Really impressed with this knife... super smooth flipper opens easily with little effort.. grippy G-10 handles.. love the looks of the two-tone green and black.. nice 3 7/8" length blade of D2 steel … can't go wrong with this one...easy on the wallet too!! A big thumbs up to Blade HQ!!

Pain to open and close

UPDATE: Returned this one. Thanks BHQ for the great customer service as always.

I'll update this after some more use, but three negatives jump out within minutes of handling:
1) The flipper is, oddly, both pointy and slippery. Flipping with a motion in the direction along the spine will often result in slipping off of the smooth curved surface. The solution is to press read more the flipper into the knife, which leads to a good opening but means pressing your finger into the needlessly jabby point.
2) At least for me, the way I hold the knife with my other fingers when flipping open, the end of the (also overly pointy) clip pokes into my fingers. The clip is also very tight, though that would be fixable with a little bending.
3) Awful lock stick. First knife I've ever owned where sometimes I just can't get the liner to unlock with my thumb, and have to hold the knife in both hands.
Great blade shape, smooth pivot, nice design overall... but so far, it's just not a knife I want to use.

Glad I listened to internet hype

Bought it because I'm addicted to collecting knives where I read and watched Youtube videos that raved about this knives fit and finish, crazy smooth action and very likable steel. I was getting the itch to buy the ZT 0542 but as it stands I own a few $200 plus knives were I've got to chill out. This Swordfish knife is really close in design, size and ceramic bearing pivot where read more it is an outstanding package. Other than the name ZT, I bet I'd be hard-pressed to see another 160.00 difference between the two.

No complaints

Easily comparable to other $200+ flippers I have had exp with. Fit and finish are excellent, action is smooth when new and only gets better over time, lockup is early and solid, the D2 takes a great working edge aswell as highly mirrored finishes.

Large carry but awesome

Nice knife for the money, fairly lightweight for the size of the knife, good quality d2. This one is a keeper in my collection. P.s. this is super smooth on stainless steel bearings.

Very nice fit and finish for a knife at this price. Great action. Personally I don't find the thumb ramp very ergonomic, I guess I'm used to shorter knives and I find myself wanting to choke up farther on the blade. The end of the pocket clip is a bit too pointy and some grips can be uncomfortable. Overall it's a great value and well made, I don't think there's a lot of competition read more for Bestech at this price point.
