I love this little guy.
The Bean Gen 2 is a phenomenal little EDC. It's the perfect little back up for that little coin pocket on your jeans. One of the sharpest factory edges I've gotten on a blade under the $80 mark. I took it all the way through to the ultra-fine stones on a Sharpmaker and that 440C is almost at a mirrors edge.
The fit and finish are great. Blade centering is spot on. I'm a sucker…

for a sheepsfoot, and the zebra wood is a nice touch.
It is possible to open and close one handed, but I have a little difficulty. It's not the knifes fault though, I just have a set of bear paws.
My only complaint with this knife is, and it's only a very minor inconvenience that gives it a 4 star instead of a 5 star, that it does not come with deep carry pocket clip. With a knife so small the goal should be conceal-ability, but with the standard clip it does stick about of your pocket a good .5” or so.
With that said, I love this one so much that I will end up betting every variation of it.
Nice little slip joint
This is a nice, classy litte knife for the office or as a gentlemen's folder. The original Bean has better materials, but this is a nice cheaper alternative.
The action is fairly smooth, the blade stock is thick and the zebrawood is a nice touch. However, it's a little tricky to open one-handed since it doesn't have the flipper anymore, it also doesn't feel great in hand…

and the clip puts it higher than I'd like. Still a great value
New favorite edc
This little knife is my new favorite. I love that I can open and close it with one hand. The action is very smooth. The blade was very sharp right out of the box.
The only thing I don't like is the pocket clip. The way it's set up leaves half the knife sticking out of my pocket. But, it's small enough to drop down into the bottom of my pocket comfortably.
