Great Buck EDC

Clark B.

Buck knives are legendary and this is their best EDC imo. It is a large heavy duty knife without being overly bulky or heavy - the profile is slim for a large knife. It has a wide full flat grind blade reminiscent of a Spyderco. The G-10 scale is finely textured and is very grippy. Overall the frame reminds me of some ZT knives. The pocket clip works extremely well if you carry read more on the right side. Unfortunately it is not reversible. Deployment is easy and smooth but not loose, and the blade is rock-solid once deployed. One negative is that the frame lock is a little stiff to disengage and the inside edge is squared off so it can cause a hot spot with repeated disengagements. I would have liked it better if they had trimmed the front scale a little more to make it easier to access the frame lock. Overall, this is an excellent large heavy duty EDC made in America with an excellent blade. I recommend it.

Buck stepping up their game

I love Buck knives, they were the first brand I starting carrying since I was a kid. Although since I have been collecting knives over the last few years, Buck always seemed to leave a bit to be desired for me, even their custom shop, when compared to other brands such as Spyderco or Benchmade. However, this knife changed my mind about Buck. It's ergos fit my hand great, smooth read more flipper, super sharp slicey blade using S45VN. Knife goes in and out of pocket smoothy, and the G10 is just grippy enough. Fairly lightweight for a larger knife. I highly recommend.
