The 110 Folding Hunter- A traditional favorite! Owned buck knive all my life the fiert one was 110 i got in 80 and still have it since then ive bought several buck knives and none of them has ever disappointed me in any way i own over 300 knives and my buck 110 is all way on my side and a small buck 503+ for small task you can never go wrong with a buck knife
My Buck 110 folding hunter
I have several 110 folding hunter knives a older 1974-1980 that’s pretty well sharpened down and don’t carry it anymore. I replaced the old 1974-1980 110 with a new one back in 2012 and it’s what I carry hunting every year since buying it new Then in July 2019 I bought a new 110 with the ebony wood handle to make it a everyday carry that way I have one to carry every day… read more and one strictly for hunting. I really like the new 2019 110 and have used it for a little bit of everything since buying it haven’t had to give it a good sharpening yet but can’t wait till that time comes I have kept it touched up using the fine side of the sharpening stone or using my sharpening steel or ceramic sharpening rod and it has got it back to being sharp can’t wait to give it a good sharpening on a stone when the time comes.
As good as it gets, in an odd way
It's a big lockback with a crazy-heavy brass frame that extends into giant brass bolsters at either end. aesthetic of the thing – the blade, the wood and brass, the heft that I find becoming more wonderful the longer I handle it – all conspire to make this my favotie knife of all time.
Experts all join in declaiming on how tough it is to clean and oil and maintain, and what a bear it is to get an edge on because of the hardness of the steel, and the pros and cons of the exaggerated clip on the blade and on and on – but then every one of them professes to be a proud owner, and we end up swapping hunting stories. Of which I have several now, since this baby (properly maintained) not only breezes through the initial stages of a white-tail but also does a fine job at butchering because of the length, strength and precision of the blade plus the opportunity to get a really good handle on account of the size and heft of the thing.
It's an excellent knife, and it's more.
It is – to me, anyway – a work of art, a classic look, a marriage of form and function that belies standard logic and goes far beyond its value as a well-built tool into another realm of some more spiritual kind of satisfaction. It comes as close to making a statement as anything I own – I enjoy getting it out in public; it always draws remarks, and I feel quite comfortable identifying with it. My Buck 110 has been since word one a genuine pleasure and even an inspiration to own and have and handle and look at and carry and use, and sometimes when I leave it at home I think about it during the day. Yes, I sometimes daydream about this knife. Is that nuts?
Great knife great price
These are normally $80 knives, so being able to get them for $45 a knife is amazing. The engraving looks great and can be partially seen when closed thanks to the design of the knife. The knives came pre-sharpened and they cam with a durable leather sheath made of thick pieces of supple leather. The knives have a nice weight to them, the the blades do not wiggle at all when opened.

This knife is very nicely made; it's heavy, shiny and sharp. It's the perfect knife. I got one for each grandson with their names engraved on the blade, and to say they were happy is an understatement. All the men in the room were jealous, so I will be purchasing more later today! I purchased both the 110
I purchased both the 110 and the anniversary edition. Already had my dad's 110 but I think I like the anniversaries blade better. That might become my favorite go-to camping knife. But it's too good-looking to be beaten up but then again that's what buck knives are for. Will probably buy some more this year for Christmas presents.

I bought this knife as a Christmas gift for my boyfriend. It's great. Very pretty as well as practical. It's heavier than I expected, the blade is very sharp and sturdy, and it's nicely proportioned. I also had it engraved and the engraving turned out great. Long story short it's a great knife for the price. The ONLY critique I woyld have is that it's the slightest bit difficult… read more to close, as you need to press rather hard on the mechanism on the handle. But then again I have weak fingers so perhaps you won't have this issue :p
