The best cheap knife I have
I love the 112, and especially all these newer light and slim models. I prefer the nicer ones with the better steels but this one is cheap and probably a better value. Plus I think every 112 fan should own one of these, even if you already have the nicer ones. I'm buying my second one today so that says something.
Some dislike the clip but after using it for some months now…

I prefer it. It's width is not as harsh on the pants, but more importantly it's easier to grip. I can even pull my knife with a fingernail in the screw slot. Basically, thanks to the clip, it's the easiest deep carry to pull out. That and all the other 112 slim models I have.
While the more expensive slims are slightly thinner, this is still thin enough that I can dig crap of my pocket without the knife with it, and it's just as light as the spendier versions. So if you're on the edge about buying the nicer ones, or simply don't want to pay that much, then this is the one to get.
Like all the 110/112 knives they have a rather strong spring. I like my springs weak so I took all mine apart to do that. The problem for most is they're riveted together so you have drill out the pivot one and replace with a pivot barrel that uses screws.
Google PP-304-PST125X312 and you'll find them.
Then of course you can smooth the action and adjust tension on both the spring and pivot :)
This is my EDC
I love the full size Buck 112 ranger, but usually, I don't want the bulk of it in my pocket or even the belt sheath. This slim 112, while not the exact same blade as the 112 clip point, suits my needs. It was very reasonably priced, and for a "made in USA" knife, you can't go wrong. If it seems stiff, oil and clean it. Mine is smooth and snappy!
Terrible action
I wanted to like this knife. The blade is so ridiculously classic, it's inexpensive, and it's got great ergos. But the deployment action is just so stiff that it's not pleasant to use. I would pass on this one.
