Great USA made knife at a great price. Perfect size and weight for the pocket. I’ve owned a Buck 501 for over 40 years and it’s one of my favorites. The 424 is similar, but lighter in weight. The only issue with this knife is purely cosmetic. The back lock/rocker is not ground flush with the handle and blade and sits proud a bit. Bought the Buck 424 as a retro throwback to my earlier years. While the fit and finish isn't quite perfect, the function is perfect. It locks up like a bank vault, exposing a nicely shaped and well ground blade. It is a very useful tool that is featherlight in the pocket. The Buck 424 is a great value at this price point and I do recommend it for those on a budget...

Bought this Buck 424 knife a few years ago at CT, took it everywhere, used it every day. Great size, design, durability and utility. I lost it going to the ACC in Toronto to watch a Leafs game. Tried to replace it through CT but they weren't carrying them anymore. Went online, found another through DLT. Very happy to have another one. DLT was great.
