Solid Build

Nice small design on a solid built pocket knife. This knife is what I was use to seeing my grandpa carry rather than the 110. The 55 takes the spot of a smaller pocket knife that you won't be doing hard work with. The size does limit the magnitude of the work you can do but it fits right in line with anything you would be doing with a traditional. Solid lock up fit and finish. Overall read more a great addition to any collection.

Easier to carry

It's a more manageable version of the 110, better for every day in the pocket. Beautiful combination of brass and walnut. Only thing to make it better, is if they would start making premium steel variants.

Edit: I just realized, that this model is the 55, and it is half the size of the 110. Clever Buck! Well done.

Like a Tiny 110

Very neat little knife. Much like a 110 that was shrunk down. For being a small knife, it's got some heft to it due to the brass liners and bolsters. You can really tell that Buck has a great amount of pride in their work, fit and finish is excellent for the price. This is a nice knife to just drop in your pocket and forget about, but if you're worried about dinging up those gorgeous read more bolsters, I'd recommend a pocket slip or sheath. Blade is very nice. Talk whatever trash you want on ancient 420HC, but Buck is the best at it. Great heat treat and a great edge. My blade has a teensy bit of wobble in it, but that's a common issue with backlocks and it doesn't really affect performance. This is a knife that will last you a long time, it will most likely even outlive you. The 55 is probably a perfect first knife for a child or a great alternative if your scary murder 110 was raising too many eyebrows in the office.

Classic

Follows the simple and classic design of the 110 but in a much more carryable size. Great in-the-pocket option that brings a sense of nostalgia, while also being a very useful little tool.
