Beauty and quality

I tried not wanting a Civivi out of a prejudice against made in china knives, but was very quickly pleased and impressed when I opened this. Came in a zippered pouch filled with sherpa fleece and a microfiber cleaning cloth, which were an appreciated touch of care. The blade is large and flat with a mirror like finish, it actually blinded me when it caught the sun when I opened read more it. Looks like a piece of jewelry. The handle is long and slim for a comfortable full grip, but the blade tip also extends nearly to the end of the handle, making the blade feel larger than it should be. However, it does not feel like a large knife, in the pocket or in use. Lightweight and slim, very comfortable. TERRIFYINGLY SHARP, one gentle drag across my leg hair and I look as though a surgeon prepped me for a procedure. Reading the paperwork included did remind me that it was chinese, some odd phrasing and grammar issues which made me feel a little guilty again for buying chinese instead of american. Overall quite pleased

Impressive Wharncliffe

I've been impressed with Civivi for value and workmanship, This is no exception. Smooth action, sharp blade from the box, and the right weight for EDC. It doesn't hurt that I like Wharncliffe blades.
