This Bullmastiff has a black G-10 handle.The CIVIVI Bullmastiff is named for the dog breed, a burly cross between an English Bulldog and a Mastiff. Originally bred to defend estates from intruders, the Bullmastiff is a large, solid, disciplined dog. The CIVIVI Bullmastiff, just like it's namesake, is tough and dependable. It's made with a thick 9Cr18MoV blade and a G-10 handle. far and came as sharp as I could want right out of the box. The stone washed finish is perfect. It came with a zipper pouch which was a nice touch for this price point. The weight is great, blade geometry is perfect and the fuller let's you do the spydie flick to open if you want. Lock is good with no lock stick and it locks up tight. Pivot is perfect and the detent snaps the blade in and holds it perfectly. Unlike other flippers on bearings that I have this one stays closed when clipped in my wasteband. If I had to find something to gripe about well the g10 handle feels kind of cheap. I don't really love the texture. And the length of handle could be slightly longer. Otherwise this thing is Amazing!!! Highly recommended! Super value for the money!

The Big Dog on the Porch
Aptly named, the Bullmastiff is big, tough, and has one helluva bite!
The cleaver design is awesome. It fits right in with my other favorite blade shapes: the Wharncliffe and the Sheepsfoot.
Despite its pocket profile, I hardly notice I'm wearing it. Even the weight is impressive for such a large knife.

The G10 scales have just the right amount of texture. Fun to hold.
The liner lock is very comfortable and easy to access and has a subtle texture that makes releasing the lock nearly effortless and pain-free.
This is one of the smoothest knives to hold. There aren't any sharp edges (aside from the blade, of course) anywhere on the knife. Even the finger choil feels great.
I hope Civivi decides to offer this knife in some upgraded steels, maybe even some copper or brass scales.
Anyway, wishful thinking.

More impressive than I thought it would be...
...that says a lot because I was impressed before I actually had it in my hand. Sturdy massive blade with a super smooth flip open action. This thing is badass. I am using it as a camping cleaver and for my outdoor kitchen. Its already been put to use on root vegetables and fresh meat

This Knife came sharp out of the box,
it's way bigger than i expected it
to be but i like that, Super smooth and fast opening and it closes smoothly as well
this is my second Civivi and i can honestly say these are super solid knives my other civivi is the Baklash in Carbon fiber going to search for my third as soon as done typing this out.

Takes the wings off a dove without effort, can be used to shave with, and I'm sure it probably will cut your box open. The big wooden box that they shipped your new diesel engine in. Great grip, opens smoothly, makes other people jealous.

Love it was a little concerning about the size of the blade and locking but smooth and very tough for the style of the knife and the shape of the blade can we say bullmastiff!
