Perfect Low Stress EDC Blade!
Pros:
small
light
easy to carry
nice to look at
looks way more expensive than it is
easy to sharpen
Cons:
The handle feels weird cause it's straight and squared off, not a huge deal cause this isn't meant to be a hard use work knife.
If you're not a construction worker or need a hard use/work knife then this is the knife for you,
Quick review
great action, super sharp, star deducted because the clip does create a bit of a hotspot as it is quite proud.
Nice knive
Great little knife! Great looks, light, great flipping action and it's a treat to look at. Sharp out of the box. Nice little Gentlemen's knife for the money.
First Civivi
It is perfect for a more subtle carry that will wow when brought out. This is my first Damascus blade and I am not disappointed. I will buy more Civivi's in the future.
Wow factor is high!!!
The exact word I get when I show this excellent knife to my friends. It's just that good looking. And the Damascus blade is bling to a next level, but not over done with the carbon fiber scales. Use is a dream. And cutting edge is super sharp out of the box, but I have grown to expect nothing less from Civivi. (which is why I own 3 of their knives now)
My new current EDC.
I like an EDC that is easy to carry and unobtrusive. This knife fits that bill very well.
Although it is quite thin and narrow, this is a very well built knife. It feels well built and robust for its size. The action is perfect. The detent is perfect. It effortlessly flies open and closed. It's hard to fail deploying the blade. Lockup is very solid and there is no blade play…

once locked up. The shape of the handle is much more comfortable than I thought it would be, although i wouldn't choose this knife for bushcrafting. The handle shape is more for aesthetics and comfort of carry than comfort of use, although it is plenty comfortable to use. The deep carry pocket clip is adequate at least, if not decent.
I love the blade shape. The tip is almost needle like. The steel seems to be what is expected of 9CM18MoV steels. Nothing fancy, but fine for everyday use.
All in all this is a great quality knife for the money. I've probably purchased 20 knives in the last year. This is my favorite, or at least tied for that spot with the 2nd Kershaw Skyline I've purchased (first one was Jan 09 and was given to a friend). Good deal. Solid product.
An eye-catching gentleman’s knife
Recently, Civivi has rolled out some special versions of their already high-quality offerings. These include upgraded models with Damascus blades and sexier handles. The Chronic is yet another example.
Like Civivi’s more expensive sister company WE Knives, the Civivi Chronic arrives in a nice box with a padded zippered pouch. The handle material seems to be solid carbon…

fiber, with the textured and contoured edges showing the underlying carbon fiber construction. The action was butter smooth right out of the box, and a drop of Benchmade Blue Lube made the knife operate like silk. The blade drops closed with just a bit of shaking, but that’s reasonable considering the thickness of the blade stock and the 3.22 inch length. This is a gentleman’s knife, after all.
The blade edge grind is virtually perfect, with a nicely symmetrical apex/point. The edge is shaving sharp, but just barely—in fairness, an excellent level of finish for the sub-$80.00 price tag.
But the most interesting feature is the striking Damascus blade, difficult to match for beauty and cost in today’s market. When my friends see this knife, they definitely will want one.
