Love the Blade
This knife is lighter that I thought it would be but that is a plus. I particularly like the blade shape, very elegant. The handles fir my womens average size hand with plenty of grip and I appreciate the finger guard so I won’t slip. All in all a little expensive nowadays for D2, but it will make a good EDC.
Very nice knife
Civivi makes well-designed knives and makes them well. The ergonomics is spot on. Comfortable, the scales are grippy, the large choil makes forward grip possible. The action is perfect. The blade is sharp. The design is understated, with the shadowbox motive present in other Civivis and WE knives. What is not too like? Well, the spine of the blade is overdesigned. The hole is pointless… read more and useless, and in real life the clip point is top aggressive. Still, objectively a fantastic knife.
Well worth the money
This knife is honestly what I've been looking for in a flipper. After a few mediocre flippers, I had switched to thumb studs/holes. However, this knife brought me back to what I used to love about flippers. It's quick, snappy and locked up solid. The liner hits about 30% of the tang, leaving plenty of room for some wear-in if you use the knife for a ling time. The G10 texture is… read more surprisingly comfortable, and really gives a positive grip. Despite the lack of jimping, it's not moving anywhere for most EDC tasks. There are only two cons I can think of with this model. I don't find the thumb hole really useful. It's not big enough for me to get a good purchase on it, and the detent on mine is a little too strong for me to us the hole as it is now. Maybe I could dial that in with some disassembly. The other con is the jimping on the flipper. It is VERY aggressive. You can really feel it after fidgeting with it for a while, but on the other side, it gives fantastic grip no matter how to hit it with your finger. This knife is probably the best $50 or so that I've spent since I've started collecting knives. I wanted a solid, reliable knife with good steel, and dollar for dollar, this one feels like the best deal.
Small package with a full sized blade...
It feels good in the hand. Smooth action out of the box, solid lock-up, and aggressive blade shape. Slightly smaller and thinner in the handle than the Baklash, but all the rounded edges of the handle give it great ergonomics, without sacrificing any blade length. Forward choil is usable when more control is needed. Those in need of a thin, compact knife with a good blade length… read more look no further!
