Originally bred to defend estates from intruders, the Bullmastiff is a large, solid, disciplined dog. The CIVIVI Mini Bullmastiff, just like its namesake, is tough and dependable. It's made with a thick 9Cr18MoV blade and a G-10 handle. Great out of the box.
First, this knife is ridiculously sharp out of the box. It's a good size and has good ergonomics. The pivot feels a little stiff, but it will lose as you flip it. The fuller does work for reverse flicks, but not thumb flicks. Can also be slow rolled.
Pros: Size, blade sharpness is great. Looks nice. Can be reverse flicked.
Cons: can't thumb flick, pivot feels gritty.
Get this if you like big knives!
The G10 feels great the action is smooth.
It really doesn't take up as much space in the pocket as some people may think. Also it comes razer sharp and the deep carry clip is also pretty nice.
Awesome
Good size and weight for what I need it to do. Opens slick but not loud; blade nicely centered and plenty sharp. Somehow the cleaver shape of the blade, while impressive, doesn't bother people as much as a more pointy one - at least in my crowd. Typically CIVIVI great value!
Really nice knife
I got this knife last week and haven't left the house without it. The action is great, smooth, and positive. The knife just looks so cool. I can't wait for the full-size mastiff to be out. Definitely giving the sheepdog a run for its money with the better price.
Great EDC Cleaver
Perfect size, blade shape, and action for EDC tasks. The deep carry pocket clip makes you forget you are carrying a cleaver around. Find myself using the vary tip of the blade for many daily cutting tasks. Didn't think I would use a cleaver for EDC much, but this solid little knife is the exception!
