Big win from civivi

I own about 6 or 7 Civivis and this one is up at the top. Action is stellar, comfortable handle scales, fidgety, useful. I think this is just a top notch knife, maybe a little underrated, and should be appreciated as much as the Baby Banter, Odium, Elementum, etc… and the best part is that it comes in cheaper than all of those! My suggestion is just throw this knife in with whatever read more else you are ordering and be surprised at how well it stacks up against higher budget knives!

Sleek Clip Point

Clip point blade with ceramic ball bearings carbon fiber twill scales feel grippy and right in your palm.
Their random pattern Damascus is really worked well.
Delivered for $100. This is a fantastic flipper with perfect tolerances.
Worth every penny!

It's Good!

it's a very good knife, you can squeeze it a bit but overall it's a little little bit big for me, but I like the action but it's a bit rough and the liner lock is a bit tough when it's new.

Best for budget!

Bought this as one of the first knives in my collection the most expensive I own and unlike my other knives it feels sturdy and not like it's going to fall apart it is great out of the box the paint won't chip and the action is very smooth highly, HIGHLY recommend!

Excellent Knife Value

Excellent knife for the money. Mine came with a nice pouch for storage and a cleaning/polishing cloth. Highly recommended as a value EDC. I would compare it favorably to the Ontario RAT II - slightly larger, equal or better blade deployment, and I like the blade shape better. Haven't had a chance to see how well the edge holds up or how easily it sharpens, but some research on the read more steel says its comparable to 440C.

Great action on this Civivi

First of all, you're getting real deal full
carbon twill handle scales, and razor sharp hollow grind, useable stainless damascus, and ceramic bearings for
under $100.

This Ortis opens like a rocket with the flipper tab lightswitch style. I also find it particularly easy to reverse middle finger flick.(spydie flick)

The hole slot is a little awkward to read more get with your thumb for a classic style thumb flick. I can do it with effort though.

Pocket clip works okay, the tip ramp is a bit tall, but the tension is good. I was surprised that even with the handle milling it still slides in and out of pocket fine enough.

The only real con, is that the blade centering isn't perfect. Just a hair to the showside because of tension from the lockbar. If you tighten it to be perfect then the action goes downhill fast. It's doable though for the price. If it were over $100 I'd expect perfect line up though.

TLDR: Great Civivi for the looks, action, and price. The pictures here do not do the carbon handles justice, they look amazing in good lighting.

Another Great Civivi

This is now my 3rd Civivi knife, and the first with the dark damascus blade. I might be a little partial to it but this is how all the Civivi Damascus blades should be finished. The mirror polish is nice but this pattern i sSO GOOD!!! The flipper action is smooth and effortless. It flies right open just pulling your finger down across the flipper. The CF handle is neat i guess, read more the pattern gets lost in the cross hatched bottom section but the grip is excellent. Speaking of CF, this knife weighs NOTHING!!! It will vanish in your pocket. Overall, another great knife, lockup is solid, fit and finish are excellent. This might be my new favorite company!!
