Incredibly light!
I love my new CIVIVI Wyvern! I haven't had much of a chance to use it yet, but I do know I love carrying it. It's so light I can carry it in the waist band of my scrubs and barely feel it at all.The flipper is extremely quick in deployment. I enjoy the "tip down" pocket clip, it's a little stiff though, I hope I don't break it off!
Really well done!
Just received my Wyvern and am really impressed.
I've been wanting a quality Chinese designed and built knife for a while now and at under $50.00 this was my entry into that market and am really impressed.
I've spent more than three times as much for flipper type knives that don't flip but the Wyvern flies open.
I don't really like knives with all metal handles so the textured…

scales were another plus for me and the steel liners means it's strong enough.
Great job Civivi
If you ever make the tan Wyvern with natural titanium hardware I'll be back for one of them too.
Snappy!!!
very nice price!!! real snappy, flickable, nice detent drop shuts nicely, handle feels like Kydex got a nice texture, nice action on flipper tab, could have been sharper out of box
Had to buy two
This (green) one is my second Wyvern, the first being black. I've already forgotten what lame rationale I came up with for needing to buy a second one. but the truth is it's so good and such a great deal that i just kind of needed to buy it again.
Like the first one, this has incredibly satisfying action by flipper or thumb hole, with an addictive "thwack" when it locks…

open. Like the first one, this one arrived truly, properly shaving sharp, and like most Civivis the blade is awesomely thin behind the edge.
Like the first one, I really dislike the clip, which looks great but is too pointy and thin and has a tendency to snag on stuff. And still I bought a second one of these knives, so that tells you all you need to know.
Smooth
I am really liking Civivi. This is a fun little knife. I absolutely love the pocket clip. I don't know why more companies don't do them like this. Simple, nice looking and functional. I also love their minimal branding with just their logo on the pivot screw. I like that there isn't huge branding down the handle or covering half the blade. It's elegant, clean and functional. Wyvern? More like Win-vern...sorry.
Very nice knife for the price. The action is crazy smooth, the detent is strong enough that you can't whip the blade open on accident, yet weak enough to not hurt your finger while you're playing with it all day like I have. Super sharp blade with an awesome Fuller design. The only interesting thing is the weight to size ratio: not a bad thing, but it makes it seem less workhorse-ey.…

Pros-
-Sweet knife
-Great detent
-Came very sharp
-Great scales (see what I did?)...(sorry again)
-Crazy light for it's size
Cons-
-Weight vs size doesn't give confidence for being a workhorse
-I only have one
Expected more
When it comes to buying a knife made in China, I expect a lot of bang for the buck. This is my first Civivi but doubt I’ll buy another because they’re just not on the level I expect. To me this should be about a $30 knife.
Pros:
- Cool FRN textured handle
- Great size for my XXL hands in an EDC
- Interesting blade shape
- Very lightweight for the size
-…

Nice case with super soft inside + cloth included
Cons:
- Pocket clip is disappointing, it my book it sucks
- I like the blades marked with the brand and at least the type of steel
- It just feels cheaper overal than I expected
- Lock up and blade deployment could be smoother
So close to perfect.
I really like this knife but there are two issues imo.
Pros: Action, scale aesthetic, blade and steel are fine, price is good, multiple opening methods.
Cons: ergonomics aren't perfect the titanium clip isn't my favorite in the hand, practically the whole knife could use a buffing on a polishing wheel to round out the sharp edges the opening hole actually shaves off…

bits of finger nail, and the choil is just barely too small for me to comfortably use, and lastly the scale pattern is great but why does it come in such drab colors?
Solid edc offering.
Good: Very smooth deployment, great ergos, and came razor sharp.
Slightly less good: detent is a hair weak and it's a decently thick knife while also being weightless. Makes for a weird combo.
Still a great all around knife. 4/5 for sure.
Exceeded Expectations
This knife is awesome. I haven't had it the longest, and plan to update this review. I also plan to use this as my gentleman's carry knife. I've already taken it to one formal event, and I know for a fact I pulled it out way too many times to be considered appropriate. This means two things: 1. I need to work on my self-control. 2. This knife has amazing action. The ball-bearings… read more make it feel like it's on rails. The construction is top notch, easily the highest-quality knife in my current collection. (Don't bully me, I'm still new to this and I don't want to spend upwards of $150 yet) It came with a complementary black case with a Civivi branded polishing cloth inside. I keep it in there because this knife is a queen and must be pampered as such.
