It's been a Hate/Love Relationship...but Ultimately LOVE IT!
4 Stars...5 Stars...it's right in between there now, but early on (right out of the box), it would have been a 2-Star review.
I love the Agave now, but geez did it take a little work getting there.
I wanted to love this knife. I was super excited to get one. It looked amazing in the online photos. It is a very eye-catching design and the natural G10 (jade) handles…

really seemed to complement its sleek look.
I was really looking forward to receiving this knife because my previous CJRBs (the Crag, Talla, and Taiga) have all been awesome to this point.
However, this particular knife (not necessarily the design) was a total letdown. The action was horrible compared to all my other CJRB experiences.
It wasn't smooth. It didn't fly open. It would easily fail. And if I tried to loosen the pivot, it would quickly become off-center. I wasn't very Snap-Happy with this one.
I probably should've returned it for another one, but then I found some tuning videos and started to experiment.
After a little cleaning and little tuning, it started to act more like the way a knife should until finally, it became super snap with smooth closing action.
Now, I absolutely love my Agave! I still wish it had jimping on the flipper now that it flips better and I want to play with it more often.
As far as knives go, it feels good in the hand. It has a decent finger choil, but still, be careful because your finger doesn't really hide behind the edge.
Now that it's tuned and running well, I'll be happy to EDC it more often.
Enjoy the slice!
