No lock up.

Lovely knife, but ultimately disappointing. The liner lock does not engage. I can force it with a screw driver, but that's obviously not optimal. If you're lucky and score one with a good liner lock I'm sure you'll love this knife. I'm new to the knife game and I hear this happens once a while. Oh well.

Dangerous lock up

I have a few cjrb for beaters and they have weak lock up. this one is the worst. I am done with crjb. Nice size and micarta.

Incredible value

This is one amazing knife for the money. Outstanding micarta, smooth action, well made, no blade play, and, absolutely beautiful!

Big and Pointy!

I was on the fence for the Centros for a while, ever since the BHQ Micarta version was released. So when it went on sale for Knife day, it was a no brainer.

Let me start by saying CJRB's value is amazing for what you get. The action on all my CJRB's have been great (I've had a couple of Crags and handled a Barranca). The Centros is no different.

It looks wonderful read more too in it's Micarta dress, a great upgrade to the G10 offerings.

I'm not a big size knife guy but the slenderness of the Centros makes it disappear in the pocket.

Some minor niggles:
The knife came with some major lock stick. It did work itself out after opening and closing it for about 4 days.

The detent is strong and works great for thumb deployment but forefinger or middle finger opening is difficult. Doable but difficult. May its my small hands?

Blade centering favors lock side a smidge and the tip is very dainty. I already lost the needle point of it.

All in all it's a great knife for the price and is seeing a lot of pocket time.
I would buy it again... especially on sale!

But I got this for

Nice, Cost Effective EDC

Quality is good and it opens very nicely and fits in my larger hand very well. A nice knife for the price and a cost effective way to carry a nice tool.

Flies open, falls shut and, perfect Micarta!

I love this knife. The operation is buttery smooth. Incredible value.

Nice improvement over the G10

I have the G10 scale version of this as well, and like this much better! The micarta feels great, and I like the contouring they did, it does make the knife slimmer in my hand, but it's still comfortable.

The action is a little stiffer than my G10 Centros, but it probably just needs some breaking in. My main issue is that the knife came with some lock stick, hopefully it read more works itself out over time.

This knife will make a great beater, and for $50, it's a no brainer!

Not an improvement of the original

In general, I love the Centros. The blade shape is great, I like the length of the blade and they feel like quality pieces.

What I've noticed with this knife in particular is that they contoured the micarta scales (like they've done on their Feldspar and Ria). This actually makes the spine of the handle much thinner than the standard Centros that uses slabs of G10. For my read more larger hands, this makes the knife slightly less comfortable to use than the base model.

Still a great knife, I just don't believe it's an ergonomic upgrade over the original.

Rest assured, their micarta is good stuff. Decently textured and soft. Reminds me of a tweed jacket that a stereotypical college professor might wear.
