About CJRB Cutlery Ria Liner Lock Knife Gray G-10 (2.95" 12C27 Satin) J1917-GYC

CRJB Cutlery makes a mean EDC knife, and the Ria is a prime example of this. Good EDC Knives feature an accessible design, reliable materials, and quality construction—all of which the Ria has. Something that's not as necessary, but appreciated nonetheless, is style—something else the Ria has. You'll find it lightweight and wieldy, fun and easy to open and close, and wicked-sharp out of the box. It includes a deep-carry pocket clip to make carry easy and subtle.Like this vibe, but looking for something more premium? Make sure to look at Artisan Cutlery, CRJB's parent company.

I am new to the knife world. I've carried a SOG Flash II for a few years working with the USFS and doing other outdoor botany work. The assist was novel, and it was light and cheap.
Now I am a office worker and the knives in the kitchen suck. I wanted a small, less stabby looking knife. Considered the CKRT CEO and some others. Landed on this one.
It is great. At this price... read more honestly if someone handed it to me and said it was $80, I would buy it. I don't know about steels, and I do sharpen my nice kitchen knives. That is the only unknown. And my dumb sh*t room mate can put my pocket knife in a dishwasher.

Some people have mentioned that the lock won't fully engage on a slow open. Not the case with mine. Feels great in the hand. The clip actually helps the ergo's, Light. Looks great. The "gray" color is more blue, less blue than in the images here, but its a very nice shade of blue.

The only upgrade I could think of would be rounded off top of the blade edges. And the clip is tight compared to the SOG. I have to force it down on some double layered fabric on something like a Carhartt... but if I have those pants on I am doing big boy stuff around people who like knives (our EDC at the USFS was a machete).

These little suckers sell fast, so when the grue (grey/blue) G10 became available, I snapped it up. Glad I did!
Pros: Action is in league with Rat 2 and the detent is perfect (I could not shake it loose without massive arm and wrist swinging), amazingly capable blade, great blade to handle ratio, polished fit and finish is excellent, the unique G10 scale color, razor sharp out read more of box, low price

Cons: Righty only (though you can with creativity use left index and left middle for flicks), very small liner lock cutout - so one handed closure will take a bit of getting used to.

For this price, this is unreal. I am not familiar with the 12C27 steel, so time will tell on that, but this is beautiful, inexpensive, fun, gentlemanly, and actually quite capable. I normally wait a couple months to eval knives, but I'm giving this one away since I got a chance at the micarta one.
