Cold Steel's 4-MAX is a limited production knife made in Taiwan using high-end American materials. It features a thick CPM-S35VN stainless steel blade with a tumbled finish, and sports dual thumb studs for quick one-handed operation. The handle is equipped with black and green machined G-10 scales over titanium liners and the unstoppable Tri-Ad locking mechanism. Solid!!
This knife is solid and well designed. Although I have smallish hands I have no problems opening and manipulating this knife.

First, Cold Steel makes the most durable and abuse-shrugging knives on the market. They're not meant to be delicate cutting instruments, they're meant to be bomb proof survival tools.

Grip is good, if you have bigger hands especially. My hands are small and it almost feels too big in my hands, however the grip and guard is so good it doesn't matter.
AUS10 is a great steel. I'd put it a hair under S30V, pretty close to 154CM from my experience.
Listen, you already know if you like Cold Steel or not. If you like Cold Steel this is the most Cold Steel knife that's ever been made. Its heavy enough that you should be careful dropping it on your foot, and robust enough that it could probably replace a fix blade. Not for everyone, but you already know that, and not because of anything related to quality. Its great. Buy it.
4-Max SCOUT FTW
4-Max SCOUT For The Win! If you are a big knife guy look no further! I have XXXL hands and Love everything about this beauty. Demko design, Tri-Ad lock, great blade shape and grinds what more do you need! I understand this might not be for everyone and the sound it makes opening could scare the pants off a lesser man but I assure you it's a necessity in everyone's collection.
