The Cold Steel Talwar folder was designed by celebrated custom knife-maker Andrew Demko and Cold Steel President Lynn C Thompson. It is named after the Indo-Persian sword that was used two hundred yeARS ago. The Talwar folding knife features a flat ground CPM-S35VN stainless steel blade with a continuously curved cutting edge from choil to the upswept point. The G-10 handle is textured and contoured with pistol grip style finger grooves for comfort and safety. Add to that the strong Tri-Ad lock and the Talwar is the real deal. Includes a reversible tip-up carry pocket clip.Fast on the draw, the Cold Steel Talwar comes equipped with Andrew Demko's REVOlutionary ambidextrous thumb plate. By draw-snagging the knife on a pocket the Talwar can be in your hand quickly.

Such solid construction, along with a razor sharp blade strait out of the box. This is a must have for any knife lover due to its shocking size that will silence any crowd. Along with the smaller price making it a very good option to fill any heavy duty roll. Well done cold steel you have done it again.
Razor sharp!
This knife left me grinning and laughing as soon as i pulled it out of the box and deployed it! Has a reasonably thin profile for a folding pocket sword that just barely fits in a front pocket of all my pants.

It is the largest blade legal to carry in Texas and caused by the beautiful curved edge, it is very suitable for slicing

The Talwar XL is the perfect mold of simplicity, elegance, and aggression. The wide belly of the blade along with the satin finish begs to be displayed. Yet the flat grind and needle point tip begs to bite into anything that gets in its way (it comes hair splitting sharp). At 5.5 inches in blade length, its a crowd shocker and something that will definitely please knife nuts. The… read more knife itself is more handle heavy, so deploying the knife with a wrist flick may be difficult. The thumb plate may be difficult to use for smaller thumbs, but the wave feature addresses this problem with the "pocket snag" mechanism. The AUS 8 steel holds an edge well and is the easiest of steels I've sharpened. If you're missing a large folder in your collection, the Talwat XL is a great buy.
