Just Ok
I purchased the Luzon to have an inexpensive flipper for EDC. I like length of the blade and handle. It fits well in my hand. Blade arrived sharp. Action is ok but not great. It’s a little stiff, even after a good lubrication. This might improve with some wear. The GFN handle looks and feels good. Not sure about the GFN a lip. I think it would look better with a metal clip.

leaf lock is a problem. There is a problem with the mating between leaf and blade. You only get a good lock with a forceful flip. And when it does lock, it’s hard to release. I have to use two hands. It’s as if the lock was not filed correctly so it impedes lockup and makes unlock difficult. The frame safety lock works but only when you get a good lockup. The lockup issue kills the experience. No time on knife yet so can’t comment durability.
Good not great
To start off for $40 this is a hell of a knife. That being said the clip is terrible. A simple stamped clip would have been fine, but this plastic clip is terrible. The liner lock is a major hot spot, I am left handed so I have to pull the lock instead of pushing it making it even worse. I own dozens of liner locks designed for righties and this is by far the worst. All this being… read more said it is what it is a solid $40 knife that will live in my truck just in case. It flips really well for the price, better than some $100 knives made from other USA companies.
Great product
I got this as a present for a family member. Great handling. He’s definitely going to love it.
Good knife,but...
Great design, feels extremely good in hand, but the liner lock is bit hard to close, maybe it's because the handle too thin
Great knife
Solid design all around. Best knife under $50 on the whole site.
Cold Steel Medium Luzon
Quick shipping and great service from BladeHq. I love the look of the knife. Blade shape, handle etc. But it feels cheap. The lock is thin and hard to break down. The backup lock rattles and is unnecessary. Why not just make the first lock stronger? A bit disappointed with Cold Steel on this one. Still gonna keep it. I'll probably gift it to someone.
Cool knife
I'm not a knife professional, but I've been looking for a knife like this. I wanted a light, long, and thin backup knife with reach. This fits the bill. I looked at the benchmade fact, Al Mar eagle, and the likes. They would be great choices, but I didn't want to spend over $50! This knife is cool. Flips easily and looks nice. You can wave the blade out while pulling it from the… read more pocket which is great. Leaf spring lock is a little hard to disengage. I like the looks of the plastic clip, but I will have to get used to it as it is different from the normal metal clips. Overall I love the knife! Thanks blade HQ for the best price around and fast shipping!
Not bad for the price!
Being that this is Cold Steels first flipper knife, I had to have one. The lockup is strong and the blade is sharp. Very cool design, I'll be carrying this one around for a while.
Not CS standards.
Finally got this knife after 4 months on pre-order.
Looks good, good lock up and no blade play.
The liner lock is not the same as on the Ti-Lite, and it’s a real hot spot on the index finger, and hard to get to.
Also the first CS knife that’s not shaving sharp.
For 30 bucks not bad but not a keeper for me. This one will begone at Christmas.
