About Cold Steel Rajah II

This version of the Rajah II features a AUS-10A steel blade with a handsome stonewash finish. The Rajah folders, designed by Andrew Demko, are big enough to approximate the feel and heft a fixed blade Kukri. Their broad, downward curved blades exhibit the best of a Kukri’s characteristics. First, their unique shape presents their thin, hollow ground edges at just the right angle so they naturally bite deep instead of bouncing or skidding off. And secondly their points are thick, wide and sharp enough to pierce even the toughest targets. The handle has some of the contours of fixed blade Kukri’s with the addition of strategically placed curves and finger grooves. These features will facilitate 3 grip styles. One - very close to the cutting edge where you can really choke up on the handle for fine or deliCATe work. Two – by the middle for ordinary chores. And three – near the end or butt where you will have the most leverage and weight forward balance for heavy cutting or chopping and where you will receive maximum reach advantage. The only suitable lock that can sustain the incredible impact forces generated by chopping strokes with a Rajah folder is our new TRI-AD lock. Designed specifically to take pressure off the smaller, more fragile interlocking surfaces of a rocker lock and transfer them to a uniquely positioned stop pin that will absorb and distribute these forces through the handle frame.Carry the Rajah as you would any folder, using the clip to attach it to any reasonably sized pocket or clip it in your waistband. In an emergency all you have to do is grab it and open it in the conventional manner or snag its unique thumb plate on the edge of a pocket and snap it open. The Rajah II is a more economical version of the Rajah I (at one third the price). It has a Grivory injection molded handle and steel liners for added strength.

Pocket machete

A very big knife, that amazingly fits in the pocket very nice. Razor sharp an very smooth opening. The lock is very easy to close on my knife. I know people used to say coldsteel were hard to close. Well this one is smooth as can be. It really a great outdoor tool. I take it on hikes an fishing trips. The amount of stuff I can do with this in my pocket I hardly ever carry a fixed read more blade. I really can’t stress how good a knife it is. An you never know when cold steel is going to discontinue. Not that they are but I missed 2 others because I put them off talwar an the xl recon so never say never.

A really, REALLY nice BEAST of a knife that feels good in the hand for its size. Just a fun knife to have and may not be the most practical can still be used for certain things.

Love holding this knife

I've used the Rajah 2 to chop down weeds, cut meat, fruits, veggies and I am specifically looking forward to carving pumpkins this year. I love how many different ways you can hold this knife. This is by far the most comfortable knife I have.
You can do everything with a big knife that you can do with a little, but you can't always do with a little knife what you can do with read more this pig-sticker.
I would carry this everywhere if people didn't freak out and soil themselves at the sight of it.
Pocket Machete is a great description for this wonderful knife.

The king of kukri folders.

If you are looking for a quality big knife at a good price, this is THE knife. Great edge out of box, unique blade for a folder, and great build quality.
Discreet enough for EDC, but you will notice the weight instead of the bulk oddly enough.
Bottom line: If you're looking for a big knife, this is THE knife.

THIS BEAST IS BEASTLY!!!!

Like many others who got this legend, I knew it would be big, but nothing prepared me for meeting it face to face! Wow!
So, a few things I noticed, the thumb plate is a bit rough cut, it'll chew ur thumb up and spit it out if ur not careful. A bit of light sanding with a dremel tool later and it was perfect. Next, the edges of the handle were the blade slots in had a similar read more problem (they would bite ur hand when you put the squeeze on it) but just a touch of fine sand paper softened them right up. Aside from those admittedly small flaws, this chunky beauty is one of my new favs. Not much else to say that hasn't already been said, I got no regrets, a worthy purchase! GET YOU ONE!!!

Chopped down a couple trees with it. Medium sized ones that were no longer producing anything. Quick work of branches, would've axed it down but wanted to see capabilities. Far exceeded. Remained shaving even after it got through it all. Amazing. Would not recommend EDC... as much as I wanted to. Do wear gloves or you will regret it. Those scales show no mercy.

Fun and Amazing

I knew it would be large, but I wasn't expecting it to be the monster that it is. It waves open with ease, and as fast as a switchblade, folds back with ease, and I like how you release it with the backside release. Easy on the fingers. But one warning--I like to use my knives as a pencil sharpener, and it almost reduced the pencil to a nub. I will use it for whittling, chopping, read more opening letters, cutting boxes, but it would be a great self-defense tool as well. And it looks like what it is--a mini-machete. It will fit into my pocket but the handle will protrude, but that's ok.

Like Jasmine's Tiger, this Rajah has a bite.

Largest folder I've own and field tested. The knife is blade heavy and can be deployed with the flick of the wrist. Comes hair shaving sharp, but since its made for heavy field use, the edge will fold over with some use. I've used this knife to kindle fires, baton, and split fire wood and each time it delivered. Retaining the tip may be difficult as it uses a softer AUS 8 steel, read more but it softness allows for ease of resharpening. Great knife for any collection or camper. This knife was donated to a friend of mine in Africa which actually saved her life. A great buy and tool.
