Very sharp, good ergonomic ... details seem solid and good finished. In nutshell - a very good daily knife not for heavy-duty works.

What's not to like

I keep the mini with me on a keychain, but the full size Tuff Lite is just as reliable in a larger package. The knife just flows from the handle to the tip of the blade. If you are OK with the performance of AUS-8 (I am) versus the newest super-steel release, then this might even give that Dragonfly2 in your pocket a value-driven run for the money. Let's hope that CS doesn't try read more to 4034 this dependable worker.

The Tuff Lite is a very sturdy little knife. I found the back lock REALLY difficult to disengage. Sent back to Blade HQ.

Excellent Small Knife

The Tuff Lite is great small knife. As a defensive knife instructor, we are always looking for small strong knives that will perform and carry well for everyday people. The wharncliffe blade allows you to make a cut with increasing pressure all the way to the tip, making the cut extremely deep. The oval spine of the knife brings the tip down aiding in any draw cut with the tip. read more Normally I prefer knives without a finger chill, however, it allows an individual to have a full grip in the knife, not leaving the pinky dangling. AUS 8 is a fine steel, and Cold Steel does theirs a little harder which adds to edge retention. It will obtain a razor edge and hold it for a good while, or if it is an emergency defensive knife the edge will perform just fine. I like the oval opening because it provides a better chance of you getting your thumb in there as opposed to trying to fumble with a stud. The size, it is a perfect size. Two and a half inch blade will be very adequate for everyday use, and even in a defensive scenario. People feel that blade length will not be useful in that type of situation but in fact it is more than enough if you are trained. The tri-ad lock is incredibly strong and an improvement from traditional back locks as backwards play of the blade can develop from prolonged pressure of cutting with the blade, the stop pin fixes that issue. Finally legality wise, the length of the blade will make it legal in more jurisdictions where they may be more restrictive on edged tools. The only thing about the knife is it only tip down. You can definitely work around this but may be something to consider for certain people. In conclusion this is a very well made knife for a good price that will perform very well and not upset the law in a large number of areas. We have already done some testing and it is proving to be a favorite. Take care and stay safe.

Good materials. Fantastic locking mechanism, very strong and sturdy. Very comfortable in the hand. Not expensive. And I love the scales, they feel amazing

Great Utility Knife

I didn't buy this for carrying, I bought it for utility use around the house. The blade is nice, super sharp, and has a nice satisfying snap when it opens and closes. It also opens very smoothly with the nice thumb hole in the blade. The scales are great, I love the feel of them and the blue really pops. The lock was extremely stiff at first, but it's loosened up a tad with use. read more That's all I can say, besides that I love it for what I bought it for.

I bought one in every color

The OD Green and Blue look the best, imo. The knife is a great value, and is very sharp and functional. Agree about the annoying "tip down only" but it's not a EDC for me, so not too big of an issue. I keep it around the house for box takedown.

Great Knife, Least Favorite Color

I got all four colors, and am giving away 3 of them as gifts. The knife is a super great value, and the blade is very solid and sharp. It's tip-down carry only, which I'm not a fan of, but regardless, I'd recommend to anyone.

Wow, was this a pleasant surprise

I'm a sucker for Wharncliffe blades, so I picked one up. I was very surprised at the quality and sharpness of the blade. I bought one in the three other colors as gifts for friends. (Only nit was they are all super-over-lubed.)

Solid Knife, Solid Value

This was the 4th I bought. (I got one in every color.) Makes a nice gift, or to have around the house to take down boxes.

Great little knife. Feels great in and well-built and comes razor sharp. Only complaint is the lock is a little hard and you have to press it with a lot of force to close it but other than that great knife well built for the price

Great precision cutter

Super Box Cutter

It’s basically a glorified box cutter… except more badass. The Tri-Ad lock really clicks with a satisfying CLICK. The ergonomics of this knife are really nice. Excellent knife for someone who works in a packaging warehouse.

Locks up like a bank vault. Very ergonomic handle. Steel does the job. Easy to resharpen. Wish it was tip up clip but not a big deal.

Didnt want to love it but I do!

First off, I am usually a Benchmade or Spyderco guy, but I figured I'd give the Cold Steel a try For something small in the pocket. As it turns out I actually really like it, the lock is fantastic, the frame seems durable and the blade came very sharp out of the Box. Highly recommended.

Impressive

Nice little edc blade. Aus8 steel males a good edge that's quick and easy to to sharpen. A very confident blade to carry for daily use.

Tuff Enough!

As the name implies this a tough little knife. Had it about a year, it goes with me when I know the knife I have is going to be used hard. It will take some abuse for sure. Also it by far one the easiest knives for me to open with my weak hand.

Knife is sharp and a good cutter. Blade steel holds up okay for a heavy day's work and sharpens easily enough.

The knife is light and utilitarian. Good overall purchase.

Great utility blade and it came razor sharp. After a little usage it becomes smoother.

Very Strong Tool

Great size, AWESOME wharncliffe, and it came razor sharp. The only thing about this blade that I would really hope for, is a steel upgrade to CTS-XHP, because that would make it just about the best EDC knife for carpentry or even an average user!

The best budget EDC folder on the market!

Sharp. Smooth. Solid. It’s perfection! My only problem is that it has AUS 8 steel. I prefer something better, but it’s awesome non the less.

This little knife was actually able to break some wood when i needed it for some remodeling work. Triad lock is no joke

Perfect for what I needed.

I need a gift for a guy thats left handed and works on the road. This knife is legal pretty much everywhere but NYC and vale colorado. Passes the flick test, has 2.5 Blade, and clip is reversible. Ideal for a traveling work knife. As a bonus it weighs less than 3oz. Appears hollow ground. Ridiculously sharp. Small but handles like large knife.

Great EDC

Great daily task knife

Excellent ergonomics, blade is very sharp and holds an edge for a long time. Great lockup with no discernible blade play. Don't like the clip. Tip down and really stiff. I removed it and just use a short lanyard. Makes a great gift!

Good utility knife

Jordan T.

The knife can do all that a razor blade can do, just a little stonger and no blade play. My only issue with is knife it is tip down. Other than that it's pros are lite, strong, easy to resharpen, and not going to break the bank.

Wow... this thing is sharp!

Jason F.

This knife is probably the sharpest knife I have ever owned with a factory edge. Basically this blade is every bit as sharp as a razor blade but it is fairly thick. Lock up as you would expect from Cold Steel is Excellent. Centering is good and this is a great value. Dont be fooled by the price...
