'Natural G-10' looks like child's glow in the dark toy
Let me say, I love CRKT. They're my go-to for high-functioning, reasonably-priced EDC knives. Now let me dive into this knife.
It's ugly. I know that's subjective, but it looks worse than what I've 3D printed. It looks worse than things I've 3D printed in glow-in-the-dark plastic. I don't know whose doing QC over there for this knife, but the fit and finish look awful. Instead…

of the 'can't put down the new knife' that I usually do, I flipped it open (very smooth) about 3 times, put it back in the box and processed for return. It's hideous. I know I won't carry it, and it bums me out. The price was right and the steel is good. Going to look for something else to carry for work (something small and discrete).
Love the knife but....
I bought the original CEO flipper which I loved but then I lost it. I wrote to crkt to request that they come out with a new model with Jade G10 scales and with better steel. I'm not saying they took my advice but... boom! My request came true! D2 is OK & better than the original, but I think it's still a little overpriced. Out of the box, the action was smooth but not so sharp.… read more So I just did a couple of passes on the stone and stropped it. Now it's shaving sharp. Then I noticed the blade was a bit off-centered. Tried tightening up the pivot but to make it centered would impede the action, making it unusable. Tried to return it but they told me I couldn't because I had already sharpened the blade. The original had a really strong detent and it took a while to break in. This one was the opposite. Took it apart cleaned and lubed it and I tightened up the detent by flexing the liner lock bar. Much snappier now but still slightly off-center. I still love the knife and would have given it 3.5 Stars if I could, so I rounded up.
