Its a edc workhorse
have had this knife for over a couple years now it has never failed me lock up is strong and deploys almost like an auto and its thin the pocket so if your thinking about getting this do it
Good looks.
And that is about it. It's a nice one to display. I've found other flipper knives at a more reasonable price.
Gateway Drug for Knife Collecting
Okay, I know that this is not a premium steel or a really high dollar knife, but this is the knife that really got me back into knife collecting. The action and aesthetics of this knife are quite simply amazing. I really do love it.I truly disappears in the pocket. My previous collection included many different knives, Benchmades from the 90's, CRKT's from the 90's and a hodgepodge… read more collection of vintage knives that I lost most of during Hurricane Katrina. This knife has reignited my passion for collecting knives.
Looks and feels great
Something about this knife fits my sense of aesthetic to a T. It's nothing like I've bought before and I never want to stop looking at it. Opening it is a joy as well, it's comfortable as all get out, and it's so slim I can just slip it anywhere. Oof, I can't get over these lines.
Great dress knife, but pricey!
Light weight, slim, grippy everything you would want in a dress (gentlemans) knife. The lines are extraordinary, but I'm still trying tocome to grips with the price range. There are many comparable knives for half the price!
Thought I would love it
It is a great looking knife but it feels awful in hand. The edges are almost sharp and doesnt give into your hand. Pretty bummed about this.
Slick
This is a pretty cool knife. I needed a gentleman's knife, and this is the first one I got to fill that need. And honestly, it does a good job. Action is tough but fast, blade is a GREAT shape, handle is ok, and it looks really cool. I will say, the blade stains and even oxidizes REALLY fast. You need to be on top of it. The handle shape is nice, but its execution leaves all kinds… read more of hotspots, and the blade had a really uneven sharpening job (took me a while on a Ken Onion Worksharp to fix). But, all that aside, its actually a really great knife. Its held a decent edge for AUS-8, its shape is sexy, and the blade is VERY slicey. It's a good start for a gentlemans knife, and a decent option for a normal EDC.
Like a scalpel
This little blade is awesome. The texturing on the scales gives you a very positive grip on a very slim profile. I would prefer the limited run version in M390 but I can't meet that price point. The IKBS system is buttery smooth yet if you are too soft on the flipper the blade won't lock open. This is a great knife considering it is the designers first production knife.
Amazing knife
I just bought this knife after feeling the amazing action of the flipper. The knife is light, sharp, and beautiful. It also feels great in the hand and takes no space in your pocket. I would definitely recommend this knife.
Great Gentlemen's Knife
The shape is long and thin so it goes in the pocket without taking up a bunch of space. It opens very nicely to where you would almost think it was a spring assist. I enjoy carrying this almost every day. It comes very sharp out of the box. My son-in-law got one too.
Good to look at
This knife is absolutely beautiful but in my opinion that's where the story ends. The knife is too light for it's size, it feels almost dainty and cheap. Also I've had previous experience with aus 8 steel and have always been able to achieve a hair splitting edge but not on this knife. Lastly the ball bearings arent as smooth as im used to, takes a slight flick of the wrist to get… read more that satisfying pop like on my other flippers, I believe it's had plenty of "break in" time I've carried this for six months or so. It's a shame because of all my knives that include spydecos, zt, and Chris Reeves this is one of my favorite to look at.
Almost Perfect
This is the gentleman’s folder i have been looking for at a reasonable price! Even though the blade shape leads you to believe it is a natural slicer it isn’t. It comes sharp but cuts like a 20 degree edge. I think it would be perfect if it were between 15 - 17 degrees.
Solid EDC
As my title suggests, this is a solid option for everyday carry. I liken this knife to a folding fillet knife. Its got a long slender and curved blade. As for carry the clip is deep carry. The flipper tab and the handle texture makes this an attractive knife. I just wish CRKT would upgrade its steel choices. Why is CRKT still sticking to AUS 8. Everyone else seems to have upgraded… read more from VG10 to S30V or AUS 8 to D2. Whats the deal CRKT? Regardless of my 2 cents on the blade steel, this is a compelling knife to get. So get it!
I want another !
Seriously, I want another. I bought one, loved it, needed a birthday gift for someone and gave it away. I will be buying one again soon.
Great knife
This is an amazing knife to carry for special occasions. It has a small discrete pocket clip and is very lightweight. Depending on your occupation I don't believe that is is a reliable edc due to its very thin blade and handle but it's personal preference. Only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the thin handle but that is me being picky. Still a great sleek knife… read more
Absolutely wonder!
I don't know how many videos I watched or articles I read featuring this knife, but I just had to have it! I finally pulled the trigger and am so glad I did! It feels great in the hand and the deep carry almost disappears in my pocket. Came sharp enough to shave and holds the edge like a champ. A definite must own for any knife collector or as your go to EDC.
Perfect for the pocket and the wallet.
What a great knife! Mr. Park and CRKT have hit a homerun with this one. The knife is easy to carry, it's lightweight and slim. This makes allows this knife to be carried in light shortd with zero sagging or an uncomfortable heavy feeling in the pocket. The flipper is very positive and quick. The blade detent allows the finger to preload the blade before the detent releases allowing… read more a very quick action. The IKBS bearings are very smooth and seem to keep most of the pivot friction at bay. The pocket clip allows for a deep carry, which is nice. The materials and machining are very good. The only two minus marks I have noted are a slightly gritty bearing (fixed by cleaning) and an unequal edge grind (easy to re-profile). Again, this knife is great!
Excellent EDC/gentleman's folder
This is my very first CRKT knife. I knew I had to have it when I saw it's debut at ShotShow. My Crossbones came scary sharp out of the box. Deployment is a bit rough, but I expect it to loosen up with more use. Blade came centered and locks up tight. Zero blade play. It's very light weight and takes up very little pocket room. If Crkt decides to make a premium model in the future… read more ill definitely be picking one up. All in all I'm very pleased with my purchase. I was so impressed with crkt I ended up ordering a Crkt Homefront edc as a work knife.
Liner lock
I recently received this knife and have carried it on my person every day since. There are a multitude of aspects that I love about this knife, including the pivot speed, its incredible light weight, blade retention for its quality level, and overall sexy look and feel. However, this knife can't climb above a 4 star review for me due to the stubborn liner lock. Perhaps it was the… read more knife I received, but even after a week of daily use the locking mechanism continues to frustrate my thumb. It locks up incredibly tightly and causes issues when I go to close it single handedly. The jimping on the liner lock has started to rough up the tip of my thumb due to the pressure I must use to unlock the blade to safely close it. Overall, this is an absolute knockout knife for the price point and versatility it provides, however, the lock annoyance would cause me to think twice about gifting or purchasing a second.
