Not a hard use knife.
This is an ok knife. Its just not a hard use knife. Flipper was a little sticky out of the box but broke in nicely. The major problem I have has with this knife is the clip. I have already had to replace it once and will probably have to again.Only having had it 6 months I find disappointing. The only other thing I find undesirable is I find it very slick to hold on to.
Hell yea Helical
Contrary to some reviews for this knife, I have had no issues with the flipper mechanism even though it is smaller. I have large hands and fingers, but still love the feel of the knife in my hand. The blade flips rather nicely once you get use to it . After a four week continues carry, the finish on this knife does start to rub off in areas. I personally like this and do not see… read more it as a negative. Overall, for the money this is a spectacular knife full of ergonomics features. The handle design at the bolster excepts the index finger perfectly, and the jimping on the top of the blade is perfect for my thumb. Ken Onion design for the Helical is spot on and I would suggest this knife to anyone looking for a flipper in the mid-small range but with a larger blade feel.
A its ok
.As I wrote before the flipper rip apart finger but over time it gets easier I guess it needs a break in time but the knife has other issues . The coating seems to scuff pretty easy does not scratch but scuffs. Know theres problems with the knife. the blade joint is super strong no movement whatsoever at least in my blade .Ithe screws on the clip need to be counter sunk But outside… read more of that those little things, I love this knife and it could be a great knife if fixed.this knife is artfully done the blade is a gorgeous.
Has potential
The flipper is really small for how stiff it is to open. I have to use something else to open it, I can not open it with my fingers. The knife was not sharp either. I really like the look and feel in my pocket, but there's some real fit/finish issues.
