Sleek, aesthetic gentleman’s knife

Obviously, this knife is not for heavy-duty use, but it is perfect for the office. Lockup is good, as good as it can get on a frame this thin. Action is springy and satisfying. I am a big fan of Ken Onion’s designs, and it’s nice to see him design a thin, dressy knife at a decent price.

CRKT Stylus = stylish

I’ll start with the bad, the grind is ever so slightly uneven and the grind for the liner lock comes close enough to the flipper tab jimping that it is noticeable. These are purely cosmetic complaints and have absolutely no effect of the function of the knife. Aluminum scales are slightly slick and don’t provide much grip on their own so using the jimping is a necessity if you read more use this in any capacity beyond package opener.

The good:
Perfect jimping everywhere you would need/want it.
Perfect blade length for edc.
Lightweight sleek and inconspicuous.
Snappy and authoritative opening mechanism that can be controlled mechanically via a finger on the back of the blade to avoid unnecessary attention.
Can remove the spring easily if assisted opening is a no go in your area.
Great blade centering.
Full flat grind.
Bulkier and more robust than other gentleman's folders (it hits the mark between small edc and workhorse flawlessly in my opinion).

Most importantly it’s fun and pretty!
