One of the best knifes I've ever owned, I've tried many brands of knives from the Buck to Kershaw, Smith and Wesson to SOG and not one of those knifes have held up like this RIPSNORT. I've carried this knife every day for just over a year and she's still kickin. Easy to sharpen, great hand feel, and when you flick it open it has a nice hefty clunk. I've used this knife to split read more wood for fires, cut food, cut down saplings, as a paint can opener, screw driver, box opener it does it all. To be frank I abuse knives they don't tend to last broken blades, lost screws, bent pocket clips but this has had no issues. It's a relatively inexpensive blade that a bit bulky but she's a work horse and worth every penny.

I had this knife on my list for a long time.
A real nice knife.

My first cleaver flipper. Doesn't flip well - not a great balance or action. When CRKT does it right, they bring fun designs in on a budget. It doesn't work here, unfortunately. Kaiser mini sheepdog is a better bet, though it loses points for being too small for my hand.

Great knife, would be perfect with some minor tweaks

First love the look of this knife, just had to have this big clever for a non-work day EDC. It does need some tweaks to make it perfect.
This needs to be tumbled at the factory, every metal edge is sharp, I carefully rounded each one with a sharpening stone.

Agree it does need IKBS, but in the mean time i swapped the plastic washers with Phos-Bronze (PBW316X from Knife read more kits 2 per side) Now it snaps like a champion.

I also added Jimping on the front edge of the flipper (when the knife is closed) with my dremmel, it was too smooth and my finger would slip.

It's okay

It's always in my backpack, very useful when I use it. My 2 cons are the slick handle and the liner lock is hard to close the knife. If it could be closed easier it would be 5 stars.

Beefy knife

This is my first cleaver style folding knife. Solid build quality and good heft. I love the way it clunks when flipped open. Handles are a bit slippery but overall grip is very comfortable. Good value for the money. Very satisfied.

Work horse knife

I carry this knife everyday, and i use it every day and i love how durable it is and the beefiness of it. The blade has stayed sharp for me for a long time and when ive finally needed to sharpen it it was extremely easy to sharpen. The grips are pretty rubbery and stick well to my hands. My only complaint about it and CRKT knives in general is their pocket clips losen after a while. read more Overall great knife and makes a beautiful loud chunk sound when you flip the knife out.

Really wanted to like this knife.

One thing...four(4) letters...IKBS.

Never met a knife that needed it more.

Oh, jimping...I will be adding it myself and I will probably try to change the blade profile.

And, I will be adding some grip cuts to the slippery plastic handles.

But the lock-up and beefiness are nice. This could be so much more, but as my first "cleaver" style knife, it is read more okay.
