Ratings and Reviews
A dream come true or a nightmare?!
So I bought this knife and the CRKT Pilar III at the same time once they came up for preorder. this review will be of both. The Trask is thicker in both handle and blade, it has more weight (obvi) longer handle, and a longer blade as well. The GRN handles on this Trask feel to have more grip then the P3's g10 ones do and unlike the P3, this has GRN on both side's so double texture.… read more I might be favoring the P3's blade shape a tiny bit more (more of a spearpoint) but this Trask's sheepfoot hasn't slowed me down in the bit. The deep carry clip on this is better then the P3's because this Trask isn't ment to hold a lanyard BUT the P3 does have a flush-to-the-body clip AND recessed screws! From the box both were hairshaving sharp, the Trask maybe more-so! this Trask has the advantage of keeping your finger out of the way of the blade when you go to close due to the Deadbolt lock, where the P3 is a framelock design. This Trask has a chamfered inside edge where the thumb hole is cut out and the P3 does not. It's a tough call, both are great for daily carry it just depends on what you like.
