Love the simplicity
This is a knife that has A LOT going for it for the price. Ergos are fantastic, grippy handle material, simple deployment, great lock up, ideal blade shape. I’m a fan of all the Voxnaes designs I’ve owned.
This is a knife that should be appreciated a lot more! CRKT needs to make a D2 version with maybe just a little bit more access in the lock bar side to reverse flick…

and it would be an absolute home run.
Regardless, this knife is up there with your tenacious, Civivis, rat 2 and Kershaw's all day. Great first knife or gift idea as well.
A Classic Vox Beauty
This is another CRKT Vox knife that I have bought and loved my decision. This knife fit in hand is amazing, like every other Vox this is well designed and worth way more than the asking price, this is a must buy to have or give to family/friend. I gave mine to my brother and he is now a EDC guy.
Well made and affordable
This little knife checks all the boxes I want in a pocket knife:
[x] deep carry clip
[x] reliable liner lock
[x] not crazy expensive
[x] very thin profile
[x] light weight
[x] no snag points
This knife is my favorite bare bones pocket knife. I really like the overall design too. It has a lot of polished metal and they even put a chamfer on the thumb hole.
Understated beauty
I’ve been carrying the Piet for about ten days, and I love how light and functional it is. The beautiful design doesn’t come across super well on websites. This knife has more aesthetic value than you would expect from a cheap CRKT. My only warning is that the thick blade and flat grind make this knife a poor choice for food prep. You do not want to use it to slice an apple.… read more
My new Favorite Knife!
First off buy this knife. Super cool design, fits great in the hand, super easy to open, and just an all around great package. Been my EDC for the last couple months.
Great budget folder, shoutout Voxnaes
For under $30, CRKT has done it agaon and created a great budget folder. GRN feels good and textured, fit is great, but the action came very grimy (due to lack of lubrication and a semi-bent nylon washer). Lubed it up and she runs like a charm!
Darn good
I was pleasantly surprised by this. It's really well made for the price. There's no give anywhere when it's open, and opening it has a smooth snappy feeling. Also, fur how small it is it's still a four finger grip.
Vox quality, CRKT price
Pros:
- Very sharp out of the box
- Great little cutter for light duty work
- Light weight
- Very low profile in pocket
- Super easy to sharpen, although all I've had to do is touch up the edge on my ceramic and strop
- Feels good in the hand even though it is a small knife, and I have exceptionally large hands
Cons:
- Blade centering was ever so slightly…

off (fixed with a slight turn of the screw)
- Action is a little stiff, although that should correct itself with break in time.
Overall excellent knife, especially considering the price point.
Oh yeah
This is one nice little knife. Perfect ergos as you would expect.
CRKT Vox Piet Liner Lock Knife Black GFN (2.63" Satin) 5390
Lightweight, very sturdy knife. The pocket clip can be switched to either side. Accented with a splash of the color blue on the spine Opens lightning fast with a flick of the thumb. Can attach a lanyard if desired. Also the personalization of the knife is well worth it. Well done, CRKT!
