About Demko Knives AD20.5

The Demko Knives AD20.5 is the next big thing in the EDC world, offering a top-quality folder at a fair price. It is as fun to fidget with as it is practically functional, which is largely thanks to the Shark Lock: a radical new system that provides solid lockup and can be trusted to keep your fingers safe. The lock is operated by pulling the fin back with your thumb or index finger—a motion similar to using a fLipper opener. When the blade is locked open, the fin serves as a comfortable thumb ramp, which is jimped to increase your control over the knife. Additional jimping on the spine and a high grip option also contribute to the knife’s usability. The AD20.5 hits the sweet spot that every EDC folder shoots for, and is likely to usurp that coveted spot in your pocket soon after dropping into your collection. We now offer two new exciting Accessories for the Demko AD20.5. First are fully customizable white grivory scales: keep them white if that's your vibe, or Rit Dye them whatever color (or colors) you want! Second is a set of high-quality replacement springs for the Shark Lock, should misfortune strike and the original spring get damaged.

Novel design, but overpriced.

The shark lock design is fun to fidget with, but other than that, the knife if just ok. Grivory scales feel cheap, as do all in that material. Blade steel holds a good edge. Knife should be around $80. I fell into the "availability" trap and picked one up before they sold out. I'll end up giving this one away as a gift sooner rather than later.

Perfect carry knife that you might not be afraid to actually USE at this decent price point.

As others have said though... the shark lock is SHARP. However after you blister you finger playing with it simply take a cardboard emery fingernail board and file away at the top of it. Don't hit the liners and scar the knife. It will nicely knock down the sharp top of the read more switch and round off the sharp edges. Looks good when done also. Not obvious and when you finger heals you'll feel the difference... right away.

Surprisingly the lock "switch" metal seems quite soft and a simple cardboard fingernail file rounds and smooths it quickly.

NOW I'm quite happy with this knife. At first I wasn't sure about it and have no idea why they ship it with such a painful (and easy to fix) flaw.

Demko for the win on this one! Great carry piece that you don't have to baby all day.
