Turned out beautifully
The kit is very well done. The blank is finished nicely, is thin and has a really usable shape.

birch, I decided to widen the handle slightly by peeling off the red liners (very easy to do, just used my fingernail) and using African Mahogany for liners. Some tung oil really brought out the figuring in the wood and the knife looks amazing.
The only issue I had was the tip of the blank was bent (curled over), apparently from shipping. It was protruding through the thin plastic cover upon arrival and I lost about 3/16 of an inch correcting it.
