Great little flipper

I decided to go with the Baby Core as a test run to see if I would like things from Fox knives as this would be my first one. While it is on the small side and I'm a pretty big guy with large hands, it doesn't feel overly tiny. The flipper on mine takes nearly no pressure and the blade locks up firmly and securely. Even using the thumb hole to open the blade is easier than I expected read more given the size of the knife and the size of my digits. The action is smooth, the weight, balance, and color are all great and the alignment and grinds are all where they should be. I'll definitely be picking up the full-size Core later on based on the quality of the Baby.

I picked up this knife after really enjoying the CRKT Pilar and was looking for a similar knife but with upgraded materials. I ended up sending this one back once I realized it wasn't a good fit for me.

The Good:
- Very lightweight, the FRN handles really reduce weight. The liners though are not skeletonized.
- Good materials, N690 is a reasonable option for knife read more steel at this price
- Great Design, I think it is one of Vox's best designs!
- Great fit and finish, aside from very minor inconsistencies in anodization on the aluminum backspacer this was a really well-made knife, especially at $70.

The Less Good:
- Ergonomics weren't great and the blade felt pretty small in the hand. The finger choil was a bit too small to deeply grip.I have medium size hands and it was a 4.5 finger knife for me.
- Detent was a bit too stiff. I needed to add moderate pressure to get the flipper to deploy. This also meant flicking open via the hole wasn't feasible either. Maybe this will break in over time or after adjusting the pivot.
- Flipper tab slightly awkward. Maybe I'm not used to enough flippers but my fingers were pretty sore after trying to break the knife in.

There wasn't anything truly bad about this knife and I think it would work for a lot of people. I just wish it was a little better ergonomically and action-wise out of the box.
