The GM5 was the kind of folder that checks all boxes;Awesome materials Great Ergonomics Perfect fit and finish Great steel Carries nicely Bold appearanceWhile the ACE Grand still checks every box on the list, we changed a couple of things. We went for a nice American made Canvas Micarta for the rounded scales, and went with nested liners and a strong liner lock. GiantMouse did keep the large stout backspacer (in titanium) for strength but added a nice deep carry wire pocket clip, for a nice comfortable carry. The Elmax steel blade was designed to be perfect for all-around use, and we kept it exactly like it was in the GM5. A high Saber Flat Grind makes it a strong but very effective slicer, and the pronounced swEdge Provides a fine point for penetration without losing strength at the tip.

Ace Grand
The blade on the knife is excellent, the micarta and handle ergonomics are top notch and the not so good side? Weak detent and not enough room to comfortably access the liner lock ,for me.
A Grand Knife
Another great design from Giantmouse. The micarta is high quality and the washers are super smooth.
This Ace IS Grand
The Ace Grand is even better in person than in pics I’ve seen online. The fit and finish is excellent, the micarta scales are very tactile and comfortable, and the deep carry pocket clip is very well executed. I might need another as a backup.
Beefy
Kind of strikes great balance between small and large…… so yeah, kind of like a “medium“ beefy all-purpose knife.
