Great little knife
Let me start by saying that I am not a really a knife guy. I just like to have a decent knife on hand. I needed something for my EDC that was small and efficient to carry. After watching several video reviews on this knife I decided to give it a try. (Nick Shabaz on YT even has a breakdown and cleaning video on this knife.)
Here I am, two years later, and still super happy…

with this purchase. The blade has definitely dulled over the two years but then again, I am pretty hard on this thing. (Yes, a sharpener is why I am on the site today.) But no nicks or dings in the steel as of now. Very good blade overall.
This is a very solid, well made knife.
Would I buy it again? Absolutely. Actually looking at the X5 as well.
Nice knife, with reservations...
I love the blade and handles. Lack of lanyard hole might have been a deal breaker, had I realized it! (Ah, well; you know what they say about ass-u-me!) Flipper too pointy, a finger buster! (common on Hogues? My second with the same issue!) Had to back off pivot screws! Plunge lock works well. Would love to see an upgraded steel (S35VN?) After all that, I still like this knife and… read more will occasionally work it into my rotation! Goes well with my SIG P365! Knife arrived two days earlier than promised! USPS still can't seem to track accurately, even when it's a good thing! Maybe some relief in the near future!

the knife is comfortable in the hand. good steel blade. my knife tightens up in the closed position, and is a little difficult to open. I do like the positive lock on it
Underrated compact performer
Worth every dollar spent. I’m an electrical engineer and I use this blade as my new EDC whether I’m in the office or jobsite. I love everything about this compact folder: design, feel, and operation. Index flipper/stud requires a confident finger for solid actuation. Strong bias to the closed position—no middle play. Upon blade deployment, you’ll feel and hear a welcomed… read more notchy CLACK! Lock up is rock solid. Combination of the flipper to engage and push-button plunge lock to disengage is my preferred combination. One observation I have is about its FDE (flat dark earth) annodized color option which doesn’t look anything like FDE in person ... looks more like Champagne. Still nice finish though. Hands down Hogue did this one right.
Solid little knife...
This is a solid little knife. Perhaps a bit pricey but a great EDC for someone who wants a small one.

Blade HQ once again did a fantastic job in processing and shipping my order.
I was interested in adding to my growing collection of Hogue knives and the BHQ sale made the decision easy.
The X 1 Microflip is a well built, small but very usable knife. Fit and Finish perfect from blade centering to a very secure lock up.The flipping action was smooth and flawless when deployed.

pocket clip is styled like a ball point pen clip that gets caught on your pocket. I viewed a video that BHQ posted about Hogue Products and the clip, email Hogue, a flat style clip was sent " no charge" , issue solved.
Great Knife , blade style is unique and very use able. Highly Recommended !
Not worth the money
Not impressed.
Great edc
What can i say, Hogue makes a great product, the fit and finish is excellent, little short on the blade, i generally like 3 inch + folders, but it does all my edc tasks and more. I was carrying the benchmade bug out for awhile, but somehow this X1-MF keeps finding its way back into my pocket. Its built like a tank!
Sharpest knife in my collection!
Very high quality build EDC, still as sharp as the day I got it. Hogue nailed it on this one!
Cool small knife
I just got this knife in the mail. It is a very cool small knife. It's built like a tank. It's fit and finish is excellent. Lots of jimping. Very sharp.

Updated review: This knife is great in all the ways that I said, however the the jimping on the handle spine was tearing up my pointer finger so bad when I flipped it open (because your finger would naturally come down the back of the handle), I had to return it. I contacted Hogue directly and asked them to please fix this in the future. Also, the anodizing on the handles wasn't…

properly finished and it kept rubbing off without any usage. It also came with a strange smudge on the back of the handle so I wound up returning it.
Original review: Hogue makes some exceptional knives, and this is no exception. Don't believe me? Purchase one and you'll see. This knife is like a Corvette or GT-R in that, it is highly underrated compared to the quarter of a million dollar and million dollar competition. I can't rave enough about this knife. The blade shape, sharpness, lock up, handle color, feel in the palm of your hand, smooth action, and glass breaker are all excellent. The only thing I would improve upon is to make the jimping sharper.
Addictive
This knife is awesome! Great size to fit in any pocket and cant stop flipping it, flips perfectly every time. I actually bought it for my girlfriend but I've got to get one of my own! Really isn't too small a knife either, really perfect for any reasonable cutting needs.
