It's not bad for a $ knife. But I wouldn't buy it again.

Centennial Flipper

Worth $20. Fit and finish is good. I had to adjust mine to suit me. My work: Edge free hand finished to 15k, swapped washers comes with Teflon swapped to brass, and loctite on pivot, which came loose after a bit and took a Scotch Brite pad to the dull gray finish on the blade. Which is over 1/8" thick. So it's not paring knife! Lol
The only complaint, is why 5cr15mov? I would read more have given 5 stars, but if this is Ka-Bar's first flipper and named for it's Centennial, why go with 5cr15mov?

Nice knife

I really like the look of this Ka-Bar.. The blade is real nice & sharp easily cut thin receipt paper outta the box.. I wish the G10 had some grip.. Would be 5 Star if the g10 had some grip.. Other then that the fit & finish is really nice

Be realistic

I bought this knife for the same reason you are here. It looks awesome! That being said, double check the price. If you are realistic with your expectations for this knife they will be exceeded. The G10 “wood” handle design alone is worth it. The blade it’s self is where the budget comes in.
Flipper action was a little stiff after some oil and play it is great now.
The read more blade is thick and beautiful shape, weight, fuller, and flipper are all great. Steel is lower end but again, price.
If you expect a $20 knife you will be pleasantly surprised and I would totally recommend this great looking functional knife.

Love the looks

I love how it looks. The problem most people have us the steel. 5cr15 isn't the greatest but personally I sharpen my knives whenever I can so maintaining an edge is a problem for me. Under 20 bucks and the first real ka bar folder.

Super tool for the money

Out of the box sharp and built like a tank! I own many knives! High and low end knives! If the knife user plans to use this knife hard then the knife user needs to know how to sharpen a knife. I have used this knife for general cutting items like cutting cardboard! Great fit in hand! Highly recommend!!
