I bought the tanto version and LOVED it so I came back and bought the damascus version. The damascus version is beautiful and maybe even sharper than the tanto. Unfortunately, the knife I received had a slower action than the tanto, which was super smooth and fast. I took it apart and cleaned and oiled it with pivot lube but the action still isn't as good as my original tanto. Apparently read more Kansept has some variance in it's quality control for what is within spec. I will keep it and hopefully it will get smoother over time.

This knife is beautiful! Pivot is smooth as silk and has absolutely no play, but rightfully so at this price point. The timascus clip is a really nice touch too.
I have 4 Spydercos, 2 Benchmades, a Kizer Sheepdog and now this in my collection. This knife is the first frame lock that I've played with that has had a flipper tab and thumb stud. With my inexperience in mind, there read more is one thing about the knife I do not like. When I try to use the thumb stud with my right hand, I can not have much of any contact with the lock bar. If my finger is resting on it, I can not get the knife open, believe me, I tried until my thumb was sore. The flipper works fine, but I don't always want to use the flipper tab, you know? Anyway, if I slide my thumb back a bit, it opens without issue. Maybe it will go away as I break the knife in, or maybe this is something that all frame locks do. It's not big enough of an issue to affect my rating, but just thought I'd share.
Overall 5/5 in my opinion. This is my first Kansept, but it will not be my last.
