This Natrix XL MODel has been beefed up with a 3.75" black finished blade and a 5" OD green G-10 handle.If the Kershaw Natrix looks familiar you're not experiencing deja-vu, it's based on the popular Zero Tolerance 0770. Kershaw wanted to bring this coveted design to a wider audience with an afFordable MODel designed for everyday carry and use. The drop point blade made from 8Cr13MoV steel offers a versatile cutting edge that is easy to sharpen and maintain. It has a G-10 handle scale that has been 3D machined and chamfered to fit perfectly in the hand. The sub-frame lock design provides secure blade lock up while reducing weight for ease of carry. A custom designed deep-carry pocket clip finishes off the ZT inspired design.Features:KVT ball bearings offer smooth and rapid blade deployment with the aid of a fLipper. Knocked it out of the park
Great knife, kershaw got it right with this one. Smooth action, slim profile, and sturdy feel in the hand. The Natrix XL is a superb knife, definitely will be one of my everyday knives. The flipper works great at any angle and the fuller works as a hard point for blade flicks. A beefy knife while still being slim enough to ride comfortably in the pocket.

Could have been great...
Snappy action, nice thin blade, and very sharp from the factory.
I have the ZT 0770 and wish it was just a bit bigger (and non-assisted) because I have fairly large hands (7 1/4" from heal to tip of middle finger, 9" spread from pinky to thumb). knife though, is the handle. The hump on the top of the handle near the back spacer screw is very uncomfortable when holding/using the knife. It's as though they just increased the size of everything on the knife without thought to how well everything would scale. The shape of the handle on the 0770 is great, and probably is on the non-XL Natrix, but on the XL it just doesn't work.
Been Waiting For This One
Been waiting for this knife to drop for a while now, and glad that it is finally here. Right out of the box the knife is razor sharp, gave it the paper and hair shaving test and it passed with flying colors. and shape of the scales fit and feel good in the hand, I have a medium to large hand and the handle has just the right amount of purchase for me.
Even though I gave it five stars, there are still a few things I would like to see changed. The coating they used on the blade i have never been a fan of, over time it will eventually start to wear off, plus the slight gloss finish it has makes it look kind of cheap, I would of rather they went with a black stone washed finished and offered a satin blade. Blade steel, 8cr13mov is what it is, its ok, I have it on a few of my knives, but it would of been nice if they did this one like the copper Natrix and threw in some D2 steel or went and did an M390 version, yes S30 or S35 or 154CM would be nice but for keeping price down M390 or D2 would suffice. The Jimping is good but it could of been a little bit deeper and more aggressive.
So far I really enjoy this knife, for the whole 1 day that I have had it. I would recommend this knife if you liked the Natrix but wanted something bigger that won't break the bank. For me this knife will probably stay within my current daily rotation.
