Within the black GFN and stainless steel handle are nail cLipper and a file. Talk about convenience with these tools sitting flush with the handle. The GFN scale is ripple-textured permitting a great hold while using the sheepsfoot blade. The steel is made of 8Cr13MoV steel with a bead blast finish. This knife is a slip joint with no pocket clip. Great knife! Few flaws.
This is a great little knife. It may look gimmicky, but it's not. The knife is well built and very solid. The nail clippers and such work very well. The blade is tough to open, but attaching a Kwik thumb stud fixed that. It's a double detent non-locking, not a slip joint. The knife has no pocket clip and trying to use the nail file as a clip won't work. If you carry a knife and… read more clippers, especially in a purse, this is really good. Not a hard use or quick access work knife, but for EDC and minor tasks, it's fantastic.
Great concept!
Just received mine, and so far am really digging it. Clippers work well and blade retention is good. The only negative so far is that the nail file is too coarse for nail filing. But as someone who routinely carries clippers and a knife in their pocket, I see this as a win overall. The topographical scale is a nice touch also, though not super grippy. (Not that a knife like this… read more needs an aggressive grip, just an observation for those who are curious.)
