I REALLY wanted to love this knife

I purchased this and it's black counterpart hoping they were the perfect fit for my EDC needs. As others have mentioned this is a get what you pay for situation. The handle is quite flimsy and visibly bends under grip. Blade is not even close to sharp out of the box. The stud is small and would be better served with a finger flip open. Closing with the liner lock is difficult because read more it sits so far inside the handle. It's a shame because with a frame and any sort of metal support system this knife would be a beast. Kershaw used to offer their Cryo in this same price point with a metal frame lock and spring assist. If this knife had one or both of those features it's a homerun.

For less than $20 bucks I've picked up all 3 of the colors available. It's not the most solid knife but for the money I like it enough to buy all 3. I really like the fact that it's a small tanto, and I barely know it's in my pocket when I carry it.

As an EDC, pretty good

I just started to collect the knife again recently. After many hours of searching and comparing, I bought Kershaw Shuffle II. It looks cool. It is comfortable and safe for handling and control. It is a multi-tool knife. It is small so good for everyday carrying. Even not as sharp as I expect, I love it!

This is an awesome little knife!

First impressions after i just opened it.

The ergonomics are always the first thing i appreciate in a knife, and this one fits the hand well. I avoided buying the first one because i thought the bottle opener would poke my hand when grasping it, so im glad they re-positioned it. I can see this knife being one i carry with me all the time. The blade length is all you need read more for every day use, and it's not too heavy.

Three things that may have been interesting to see is...
-It looks like it could have been a flipper. Just look at the back in the closed position if you get it, and you will see what i mean.

-Making it a lock back would have been cool too since all you would have to do is move your thumb down the back of the knife to unlock it.

-It is only tip down carry on the clip, but oh well, its not too much of a big deal to me.

Overall, i am very happy with this knife!

I was happy about this purchase until I had the knife in hand.... Blade was ok, action ok, ergo is nice but the handle material and lack of a real frame are deal breaker....I know this is a sub $20 knife right now but there are better options available from this brand and others alike.... Just pass this one up....it's not as cool as it looks

Very cool

Works well and looks good. I bought myself two and my wife one. Can't really beat the price and quality.

Razor sharp strait out of the box

Okay budget EDC knife. Ergonomics are great for my medium-sized hands. The finger choil allows for great control. Blade wasn't hair-shaving sharp out of box but sharp enough for my light everyday tasks (cutting box, rope, bandages, etc). Of note is the action. After more than 2 months of using and fidgeting witg the knife, the action is still significantly rough. No blade play or read more lockup failures, but thats only with my light use. Cap lifter function is okay; it doesn't always open bottles on the first try, but so far it opens all bottles I've tried it on. Used the screwdriver/prybar a couple of times and it's serviceable.

All in all a good budget EDC knife, especially given the extra functions and the price point.

Great budget edc!!!!!

Hard to beat this blade for the money. Great ergonomics and decent blade steel. I really like this knife.

Very cheap feeling

Okay I know this is a sub 20 dollar knife. I have no experience with the previous Shuffle knives but I do have a lot of experience with Kershaw both expensive and inexpensive. This knife is very lightweight which is a plus but its unnervingly light weight. The action is rough(plastic washers). The blade is so light wight there is no momentum to flick out the blade with your thumb(more read more on that later). Don't think it wall fall shut either. It came sharp out of the box not shaving sharp but paper cutting sharp. Clip is decent, lock up is like 20%, not that great but I did a couple hard spine whacks and it didn't fail.

Oh but the best thing (sarcasm) is the detent. It plain sucks, all you have to do is shake the knife and the blade pops out.

I would look at other budget kershaws, this one is a swing and a miss IMO. A Skyline has more appeal having better action, build quality, and made in the USA.

I haven't really used the screwdriver or the bottle opener yet but they look like they would function.
