Objectively a great knife

James l.

So there is nothing wrong with this knife. Probably one of the best Kizer knives they have ever made.

Lightweight
S35vn steel
Beautiful blade
Carbon fiber scales
Good gimping
Countersunk skeltonized liners
Good clip
Smooth action
Thin behind the edge
Fair price

So why not 5 stars? To me it has this sorta "cheaper" feel to it. Hard to explain. read more I think it's the action. While smooth it feels just the same as their other. Nothing wrong with that per say just a little "loose" to me. You may think it's perfect. Yo each his own.

Best Kizer to date!

I own a few other Kizers but wanted to check one of their higher end knives, this one did not disappoint! I see the reason for the slightly higher prices. If you are on the fence just do it. The machine work is amazing and the blade comes razor sharp. The action is snappy and crisp. You will be happy with this purchase!

New EDC

I have the VG10 begleiter. Love it. Lesser grade steel. Bought this s35vn. Love the knife except: Frame lock. Frame lock makes it hard to flip and hard to close. If I could take this blade out and stick it in the $50.00 begleiter I would have the perfect knife. I do mean PERFECT. This thing is slim, razor sharp, lightweight, full length blade. It is just to slim to pull off the read more frame lock. Should have upgraded the older model with new blade. STILL it is worth the $150.00 I paid. I will carry it everyday for the foreseeable future.

Great in pocket and in hand

Super lightweight considering the blade length. Super pointy and sharp blade tip.
Great flipping action as long as you keep your finger off the lock bar. (I push my middle finger back to end of the pocket clip.) Feels great in hand. The titanium fished scales are surprisingly grippy. Blade seems longer than stated due long reach from back of the flipper tab when open.

Beautiful EDC Knife

The fit and finish of this knife is beautiful. Blade is perfectly centered and the detent is absolutely perfect. The action on this knife is a real joy. While the flipper tab would benefit from some light jimping, I really can't complain. I love the grinds on the blade and the shape of the handle. Lock bar is easy to actuate. Overall a complete package.

Almost perfect

I'll caveat this review, that it's my first frame lock knife. So it could just be me. Everything about this knife is beautiful. I'd classify it as a gentleman's knife. Titanium handle is too smooth for me to deem it "tactical." Now that I've carried it for a while, I do notice the pivot can collect pocket lint right between the blue ring and the actual pivot itself. Nothing that read more has hampered deployment.

My biggest problem has actually be able to flip the blade out. Again this is my first frame lock knife. If I don't hold it right, I tend to apply too much pressure to the lock, that the blade won't flip out due to the lateral tension I am giving. Comparing to the vanguard Begleiter, I personally feel that I do not have as secure of grip on the knife when opening. I also don't have this issue on the titanium Mini Sheepdog. I think the shorter handle and my natural finger placement on the Sheepdog, my fingers rest on the clip, so I am not applying that pressure to the lock like I am here.

I would Anthony S. too. The clip does seem weak compared to other knives i have.

One minor thing but its beautiful

Got this in the mail the other day. The box and presentation was very cool. The knife its self is very aesthetically pleasing. I love the tanto blade on it too. It came razor sharp. There is only one thing that bothers me but it's not the end of the world. The pocket clip seems a bit weak. It slides in and out no problem and doesn't snag on anything, but I do feel like it will fall read more out easily.

Awesome Knife

The Knife comes in a amazing box that shows how much Kizer as a company cares for their knives. The knife comes razor sharp out of the box and well lubricated. It deploys smoothly and has a great satisfying snapping sound as well. A great knife overall from Kizer.
