Maserin strength weakness
A solid knife that does work five stars for this.
Clip kinda weak I’ve had to rebend it several times after catching and bending on a drawer. Over the end design needs a stronger clip.
Big but not heavy
This is my first Maserin knife and I am pretty impressed after the first initial few days of heavy use. I heard about this knife on 7redi's YouTube review and sort fell in love with it.

only. The jute (burlap) scales are not only attractive but also provide a light and sturdy platform. My version came much lighter in color than what is pictured. They have since darkened beautifully with considerable use.
I know it's popular to say a knife came laser-sharp out of the box, but this one came surprisingly sharp with a nice, toothy edge. I've cut down several half-inch thick cardboard gaylord totes with this knife and it has sliced through them without issue. I'm super impressed with how it performs on large jobs. Very good ergonomics with the micarta scales and overall shape.
The blade deploys with one hand easily with a controlled thumb role or can also be deployed with a reverse flick with a little wrist action and can be closed with one hand if you're careful with the lockback and falling blade. All that said, if you're looking for a fidget knife, this probably won't satisfy that urge.
I like the deep carry clip. It matches the stonewash of the blade, lock, and backspacer and looks good overall. It also comes with a "glass breaker" screw as an option to replace the regular hex head screw. I put it on mostly because I think it looks cool. It gives the knife a sort of gentleman's tactical look. It's sort of dumb, I know, but I like it anyway.
The only issue (minus the one star) I have is that the blade rides on paper-thin Teflon washers. Does a lockback need better washers? Probably not. Is a beautifully crafted production knife with premium materials besides the Teflon washers worth $175+? That's debatable. I would have preferred to see phosphor bronze washers.
Overall, this knife is a really handsome workhorse that I'm more than happy to have in my collection and daily rotation.
