The Goodest Little Pocket-Demon Pupper
I waited a long while for them to do another production run of this. Even shamelessly begged Mr. Marfione in-person at BladeShow.
Blade HQ came through with their "Email Me" notifications since it was on my Wishlist (which, has gotten me a first-crack at a lot of great blades, so I highly recommend you set up a Wishlist and enable the "Email Me" function).
The blade…

itself is great, like most UTX-70's; a Mighty Mini-Me that serves as my elite snack assassin. And believe it or not, the extreme spine notches will sharpen up a bamboo skewer like it was made for it.
Big Quality, Small Knife
I have a UTX-85, as well as a Troodon. I also have previously owned an Ultratech. They are all great knives (my fave is the UTX-85 by far), and the UTX-70 is no exception. However, the price tag is a bit steep on this thing. I know it's a limited run, and I know it's more of a toy that a functional EDC knife, but it is really just a bit too small. I knew it was a small knife, but…

you don't really know how small until you hold it (that's that she... never mind).
Don't get me wrong, I love it. It's very high in quality, and it is a blast to play with. I open a lot of boxes at work, and this thing has already proved itself in that urban/office environment as a reasonable EDC. If you are truly looking for something to daily drive, this is probably not it. However, if you are already have a Microtech, and you love it, and you want something that is more of a fun addition to that, this hits the spot. Again, I love it and probably will never sell it, but it is not really a practical knife especially considering I live in a free state where I can carry pretty much anything I want.
The blade is awesome, and is most likely the best part about it. It is super sharp, and shaves hair right out of the box. The glass breaker seems too small to do anything and is more of a signature item for MT rather than a utilitarian component. The knife obviously carries well, and even so in my small coin pocket (which is actually pretty sweet). It gets a lot of attention (like most OTFs I've owned), but the anti-knife/gun people think it's cute, rather than a scary harbinger of death like an Ultratech or something vicious looking like a Praetorian... Jk.
Get it if you have the money, but don't expect to be blown away. Rather, expect to love it like it was one of your own...
Too expensive, btw. Should be $200 (at most). Something tells me these will gain in value, though. Cheers!
Small, maybe too small
Just received my Utx-70 Hellhound from Blade HQ and wow, this knife is small! I mean, really small. Other than it's short stature, this knife is you typical Microtech. The action is snappy, the blade fires reliably, and the knife comes incredibly sharp. Build quality is what you would expect from any Microtech. The fit and finish are great with my only complaint being the handle… read more screws are a bit raised. Regardless, if you collect Microtechs, live in a over-regulated state, or simply want a freaking cool letter/box opener look no further.
Sand Shark Killer.
If I read this title, id call BS.
This guy not only wins over the Double action phenomena by DKW, it also blows its own exact previous models [with safety}away.
This 2019 Halo 6 with the 204p is 100% rattle free unlike some 6s, with a violent deployment that is is louder than the SS.There is NO hollow opening once extended and locked unlike the 5s.The lock up is beyond reliable.…

There is nothing about this guy that will give any insecurity about any job one may have for it.
this thing is beyond built .Aesthetically, audible
Superior
This knife is the absolute best of the best. Nothing else needs to be said. Though my age now prohibits participation in covert operations behind the lines, this is one knife I would require in my equipment list. Always did I carry several knives with particular use for each. This one is one of many I have had since they first became available. It is not weak like most of the lesser… read more OTF knives. Superior in every way.
Outstanding OTF
This is a great otf knife. Size and lockup are similar to a Combat Troodon but it's a bit easier to actuate, the machining and clip are more impressive, and it's less expensive. The edge on mine wasn't quite as good as a typical Microtech but nothing a simple sharpening can't fix. Highly recommended.
