Good to Great Knife
Love it. Be prepared for a heavy blade though. This is not an effortless flipper with Civivi/WE flipper action. What you have here is a robust, overbuilt folder. The frame lock sandwiched in between g10 scales is fairly ingenious, it has bank vault solid lockup. In my quest for effortless flipper action I did adjust pivot and hardware is quality and of good hardness (insane locktite… read more but no stripping thankfully). Adjustment did not yield 5 star flipper experience and also revealed just how nicely the factory setup was in terms of frame lock engagement- blade centering easily maintained as perfectly centered as it came from factory but only fractional action improvement gained from adjustment. Detent is insanely strong, not possible to overcome without very high effort at the right angle for front flipper deployment. Cannot use front flipper for wave style deployment. Once blade is open beyond detent it is extremely pleasing to fidget with using front flipper and manipulations are good. Typical opening with rear flipper will require a tiny amount of wrist or gravity, blade closing is of the fall shut type. While not as flipper fidgety as hoped I greatly appreciate the robust build and ergonomics, has a satisfying quality feel. Anodized blue does wear through from use rather quickly but I like the appearance. Knife appearance is much better in person than photos indicate. I would buy this knife again and likely leave action untouched, adjustment introduced minor lock stick which required sharpie or graphite lubrication until surfaces wore in and did not make significant improvement above factory setup. Good knife, quality apparent everywhere. Action being good but not great makes it a four star but no regrets.
