About Paragon Para X
This PARA-X Bolt features a satin finished, S30V stainless steel dagger blade with a plain edge and hand ground finish. The handle is black anodized 6061-T6 aluminum with tactical black hardware and a lightning bolt cutout.The Paragon PARA-X OTF knife is the next generation of the ATKO-10. This Asheville Steel automatic is a single action out-the-front knife, just push the button and the blade fires out the front of the handle. To close the blade just press the button and use the retracing lever to pull the blade back in. The PARA-X has a sliding safety under the firing button and a pocket clip for easy tip-down carry. Made in the USA and new in box.

Ive been a cutlery user and collector for over 50 years. I have a tendency to lean my collecting desires to knives that have a certain WOW! factor, making my collection a bit more unique. Which actually brings me to my reason for purchasing this product. Unfortunately, the WOW factor of this knife wore off rather quickly.

The blade retracts fine because it does so manually. However, when I press the button to release the blade to extend, it has NEVER sprung to its full length to lock into place. Also, the coloring on the blade has been coming off along the centerline ridge. I wholeheartedly DO NOT RECOMMEND this product! I only gave it 2 stars because I thought the design was cool. So much for first impressions.
Impulse buy
Not a whole lot of thinking went into this purchase that cost me 220 and yet I don't fully regret my purchase. It definitely isn't practical and for the price you really should just save a little more for a Microtech, but it definitely has some flair. That said, it is really well built and certainly would hold up to hard use. If anything, get it while it is on sale so you don't… read more feel so bad when reflecting on your past purchases in the future.
Awesome OTF
Ive had this knife for a little over a year. Its been awesome. Asheville Steel Paragon is an awesome local company. The Para XD is fast and has a great edge thanks to the S30V. Its a single action so you will need to use both hands to close it but its very natural to operate. Awesome product overall.
