Outstanding knife with a quirk.

This is a larger knife than it would appear in pics. It's totally solid, with great lock up, zero play, perfect detent (on the strong side but not overly so) and blade centering, and a very smooth action. The blade, btw, is .19" thick, like it says here at BHQ, rather than the .125" listed on Quartermaster's site. The quirk I mentioned in the title is this: the thumb plate takes read more some getting used to. It's designed not to put your thumb under, but rather to put your thumb on the side of and push toward the pivot. When you figure this out, the blade pops open like an assisted opener. The sides of the plate are a bit sharp, so some may want to lightly knock the edges off with some sandpaper or a stone. Overall an outstanding knife that's built like a tank.
